King 5/SurveyUSA ^

The first KING 5 Senate poll for the 2010 general election shows Republican Dino Rossi is actually ahead of Democratic incumbent Patty Murray, 52% to 45%.

In most polls leading up to this week’s primary election and on primary night, Murray was in the lead. Primary election results placed Murray 13 points ahead of Rossi, but Rossi splitting the Republican vote with Clint Didier who got 12%, and Paul Akers, with 3%.

The new K5 poll of 618 likely voters, conducted by SurveyUSA, is the first look at a Murray-Rossi matchup in November. It suggests that even without an official endorsement from Didier, many o f Didier’s supporters would choose Rossi over Murray. Akers has endorsed Rossi, but Didier is withholding his endorsement at this time.

The media is setting the target the voters and election officials in King County need to meet.

I hope the GOP is assembling an army of attornies in anticipation.

I wonder if they'll fight this time, or roll over as usual.

Wasn’t it Stalin who said that it didn’t matter how many voted as much as who counted the votes?...or words to that effect.

Runner up Clint Didier is threatening to withhold support for Rossi unless he embraces more conservative ideas. I and fellow WA Rep voters will be in quite the little quandary if Rossi continues his RINO ways. We want to dump Murray in the worst way, but replace her with what, a RINO pos? Let’s hope Didier smacks him around enough before Nov.

Anybody have a fix on Wyden re-election in next-door Oregon? I’m thinking this might be a year for an out-of-nowhere unexpected shocker or two.

What RINO ways are those? You do know that Didier is lying when he says that Rossi has not pledged to oppose new spending and taxes, don’t you?

Didier’s just a sore loser, and his lying about Rossi is only going to ensure a 4th term for Pathetic Patty...

If you bothered to read any of the article I linked, you would have read this:

“Didier said he wants Rossi to sign a pledge that he won’t raise taxes, to promise to vote against any plan to increase federal spending, and to personally sponsor the Sanctity of Life Act, a measure that would attempt to ban the U.S. Supreme Court from ruling state abortion restrictions unconstitutional.

Rossi quickly rejected Didier’s demands in a statement by spokeswoman Jennifer Morris.”

Those are hardly extreme positions that Didier is asking Rossi to take, but evidently Rossi and YOU think they are.
