The enemy is not attempting to "Americanize" Islam.
Islam is all about Islamizing Americans, either subjugating Americans to the will of Allah and giving them "Peace" or destroying the infidels.

Mosque not built = "A great insult to Islam! Infidels must die!"
Mosque built = "A great victory for Islam! Infidels must die!"
Mosque built and then vandalized/burnt/destroyed = "Sacrilege! The blasphemers have insulted a HOLY shrine to a great Islamic victory! Infidels must die!'

If they want to "work out the details" of Americanizing Islam - let them do it in THEIR own back yard; beginning with codifying and implementing the ideals of the Virginia Act for Religious Freedom - in Saudi Arabia

 

Because until individuals are FREE to worship their Creator - instead of being coerced into worshipping man-made religion, the shyte will continue to fly into the fan:
