Rush Limbaugh has said that when he broadcasted out of his NYC studio, a union person had to switch on his mic. Rush could not do it because he was not in a (or the designated) union.

Not only that. Even if you are a union member, your job duties are strictly defined in your formal Job Description. If you try to perform a task that is not in your job category, you can have a grievance filed on you by the person whose job you are performing.
