I'm sure that the New York City police department will ensure that none of their tools or materials get stolen during construction. And the port authority will be certain to keep the roads free of protesters so those materials can get delivered in the first place. And then all of the work done by those guys will need to be approved by the New York City fire department before the building can be occupied. Assuming that this monstrosity ever gets built, passing the fire inspection should be amusing.

One thing I always despised about the union mentality is the use of the word “scab.” In my experience, a union man would be the first to hire a different gardener or plumber to save a buck in his own life, but wails at anyone who might agree to work for less when the time comes around to negotiate a new contract with the "oppressive" business owner who's out to "exploit the working class."
