Bill Clinton had 'mentality of an 18-year-old' regarding sex, NPR reporter who covered Bubba says

President Clinton was one of the savviest politicians to occupy the White House, but when it came to sex he had "the mentality of an 18-year-old."
That blunt assessment came not from the Republicans who got Clinton impeached for lying about having sex with Monica Lewinsky, but from an NPR reporter named Nina Totenberg who covered the President's most inglorious moments.
It appears in "A Complicated Man: The Life of Bill Clinton as Told by Those Who Know Him" by Michael Takiff, a new biography that churns up sordid stories the 42nd President many would just as soon forget.
In Totenberg's opinion, it was Clinton's inability to face his wife, Hillary Clinton, that led him to make that fateful lie during a deposition.
When asked about Lewinsky, he should have immediately told his lawyer they had the goods on him and perhaps reached some kind of settlement, Totenberg said.
Clinton didn't. And the rest was, in a word, history.

“he had “the mentality of an 18-year-old.”
No wonder the MSM could relate to him! ;-)
As someone who works with young people, including those whose girlfriends are pregnant, if there's one bullsh*t myth I'd love to erase it's that men are the only ones who are immature about sex. These young women I'm currently dealing with knew PRECISELY what they were doing when they got pregnant.
Sorry to see this liberal attitude about men and sexuality is accepted as a matter of course even here. It's a pile of crap.
Billy Boy had/has a deformed soul and is stupid and immeasurably base. Period.
barack obama has the ‘mentality of a 7-year-old’ regarding government.
Why didn’t she report this when he was in office? Answer; She’s a progressive and was doing her job. Why now: Bill could be a threat to President Obama because of his wife.
What does this tell us about:
1) This reporters teenage years;
2) Her moral code;
3) Her aesthetic judgment?
You are correct.
She also probably wanted some at the time and is bitter she didn’t get any. Even though billy obviously will tag ALMOST anything that moves somebody like nina falls below even his “standards”, such as they are.
What does it say about Nina's mentality that she chose to keep that fact covered up when Clinton was still in the White House?
Only those lacking in self-control & character.
But we're not talking about young people, are we? We're talking about grown men in their forties and fifties like Pres. Clinton.
It is not uncommon for them to be immature wrt sex.
Whereas grown women in their forties and fifties, they're usually quite mature about it.
Might have something to do with the unequal loads of testosterone...and consequences. Yathink?
Wow, a liberal reporter waits 15 years to write a tell all book disclosing the obvious? Cant wait to read what she writes about the imam in another 15 years (sarc)
I agree about “INSUFFERABLE SNOB” Nina.
She’s about 15 years too late for this story.
There will be many more to come out against the Bill Clinton “they really knew” in the years to come, only to advance their own interest — not for the good of the country.
Nina Totenburg has a face like an overgrown shar pei and a voice that grates. Not even Billy Jeff would go there.
“In Totenberg’s opinion, it was Clinton’s inability to face his wife, Hillary Clinton, that led him to make that fateful lie during a deposition. “
BS. He thought he was above the law and that lying was perfectly acceptable in any circumstance. That’s why it came so naturally to him.
They finally found something Bill and I have in common.
Draw the minds of the populace away from our current man-boy president, (who has been rumored to have many of the same problems), soaring government deficits, massive unemployment, gov't takeover of whole industries, the decimation of the American manufacturing base, nationalization of the health care industry, and on, and on, and on.........
Give them the circus of the past sexual exploits of a failed president so they will look beyond what is going on today. A common magic trick mis-direction.
He is of no use to us anymore, so why not trash him, get whatever mileage we can out of him, then cast him on the rubbish heap of history with all the other 'former' presidents, not really relevant anymore. (Their position, not mine).
Interesting, isn't it?
Unfortunately, I think Totenberg is a little early in writing a wrap-up of Bill Clinton’s life. We haven’t heard the last of him, by a long shot.
Or Hillary. Or (shudder) Chelsea.
