This is a link to an article on the government claiming a "savings" of $1.6 BN. The savings is based on not spending all of the $14.7 BN they budgeted. Nice theory but if the 2000 Census only cost $4.5 billion then how does spending $13.1 BN constitute a savings?

There were no real savings...nothing more than manipulated numbers game. Falls into the same category as proving that the Stimulus’ “created or saved” jobs ....... =.=
ROTFLOL
13 billion dollars to count 300 million people? Let’s see, that’s more than $40 per person. Could have been done in the private sector for much less.
it constitute gsving using government math
[Lets see, thats more than $40 per person.]
And the census worker who came here twice only spent about two minutes total as, first our son, and then later, Mrs. BCC told them that three people lived here and that’s all they were getting from us.
Saved money by spending money...why does that sound familiar?
(flashback dream effect)
“Look at the shoes I bought honey! They were on on sale! I saved 20%!”
“No, you spent 80 dollars”
(end flashback)
Oh yea that’s right.

Each home of 4 people cost $160 to count !!!!!!!!!!!
Takes what, 10 minutes max?
and what about all the people who just mailed in their forms?
I thought using the local postman the best idea.
Everyone here knows that in his first week in office this Obama jerk immediately moved the Census from Commerce to his own private ACORN counting room at the White House , right?
Now why do you think he did that ???
Apparently, they saved by not counting or making even the first contact with our conservative household in a conservative area of a conservative state.
They ignored a lot of folks who get their mail at PO Boxes.
