Pelosi Trying to Intimidate 9/11 Families: N.Y. Rep. Peter King

Rep. Peter King (R-NY), the Ranking Member of the House Homeland Security Committee, accused Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) of trying to intimidate 9/11 families from expressing their criticism of the location of the Cordoba House mosque planned for construction in a building near the World Trade Center site that was severely damaged in the September 11, 2001, terror attack that killed nearly 3,000 people.

King made his remarks on the Fox News Channel this morning (video courtesy Mediate):

"I...see it as a threat by the Speaker to try to intimdate people who are speaking out against the location of the mosque. Listen, I can take care of myself, but I'm thinking of the families, the family members like Rosemary Cain, Jimmy Boyle, Debra Burlingame. I mean these are people whose hearts have been broken by September 11th. That wound has now been torn open. Are they going to have to face investigation by Nancy Pelosi somehow implying that they're part of a consiracy?"

Yesterday, Pelosi called for an investigation of the opposition to the Cordoba House mosque:

"There is no question there is a concerted effort to make this a political issue by some. And I join those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque being funded. How is this being ginned up that here we are talking about Treasure Island, something we've been working on for decades, something of great interest to our community as we go forward to an election about the future of our country and two of the first three questions are about a zoning issue in New York City," hissed Pelosi.

The Democrats are getting a 1-2 punch right now and almost going down on the canvas.

They are looked at as terrorist sympathizers and destroyers of the economy. We need to continue to expose them as they are.

The Pubbies in House races who don't make Pelosi’s threats a part of the conversation are stupid and don’t deserve to win.

Pelosi Calls for Investigation of Mosque Opposition

She's obviously sick. May God have mercy on her. I can't.

Go back and play him by sacrificing your Queen early. Maybe then he will be so shock up that you’ll be able to strike fast and hard.

That’s good but I doubt it would work. My brother is just a lot smarter than I am. Even when he was a little kid he had Ronald Reagan for an idol. I think I had Donny Osmond. LOL!

I agree with you. The Republicans must be on pelosi and obama’s case and must call them out when they become tyrannical. They had better find the fire in their bellies to stand up for We The Citizens and the good of this country, or down they go. I hear more from Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Gov. Brewer, Jim DeMint, Mike Pence, just to name a few conservatives/Republicans.

They need to speak up and fight for this country, or they should get out.

A quote from WINSTON CHURCHILL follows:

“If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”

I don't think he planned it. Obama made his first comments at a Ramadan meal attended by many hard core Islamists.

I differ. I think he and his crew are running a two-minute drill against the Tea Party, the object being to get the public to identify Tea Pary = Crazy Racists.

I think he is poking the Tea Party in the eye with a stick as hard as he can, hiding behind the Constitution each time, on as many different issues as he can think of, to get a Tea Party person to say something memorably bad, or to get someone already smeared, like Newt, to say something so the MSM drones can bracket the Tea Party with Newt/Whoever who is not named Sarah Palin or Michelle Bachmann. Bracket the Tea Party with an unattractive figure like Fred Phelps or Ozzie Meyers. Too bad Blago's a 'Rat!! ;)

He's done the race-card thing with the NAACP yelling "racist". Then there was a Birther thing. Then there was the Arizona/Shamnesty lawsuit and telling John Kyl that the Senate must come to Jesus on citizenship for the illegals. Then there was the Israel thing. Then the Kagan/Vicious Lesbians on the Court thing. And the DO ASK AND TELL thing. Now there's the Mosque thing.

Obama's playing Page One headline politics, and the object is the Tea Party's temper -- he wants a tantrum, an Oklahoma City bombing.

Discussion?

I hope she can find the time to investigate the 70% of Americans who oppose the mosque. Heck, I’ll be first in line.

They’re called values, Nancy, something with which you seem to be unfamiliar.
