I think to some extent it's the mind set. The left is always in ‘attack’ mode. The Repubs tend to be defensive in their answers, and so appear to be ‘spinning’. They need to put the left on the defensive, over and over and over again. It's not that difficult. They practically hand out ammunition that can be used against them.
The best defense is a good offense - very few have figured that out when it comes to publicly responding to the Left. It’s a hard lesson especially when you are trying to play by the rules and be civil, and that’s the last thing the Left wants to do.
Not only is it in crisis it is essentially now broke.
