and the expensive developement needed to make the Typhoon a naval plane would be payed largerly to BAE - improving the chances to export these to india etc...

If you want to get something done ... do it yourself.

Yes, I was aware Eurofighter's Typhoon hadn't been navalized or proposed for navalization, although of course they would have been put through trials with NATO anti-shipping weaponry.

And I agree that navalization would present a formidable barrier to deployment of Typhoon aboard CATOBAR-equipped carriers, a barrier Rafale, the F-35, and the F/A-18 series have already overcome.
