VAN SUSTEREN:(Snip) Now, on Friday, President Obama came out strong in defense of Muslims building that mosque. Then Saturday, when things seemed to get a bit heated, the president clarified his statement, saying he would not comment on the wisdom on the decision to build a mosque there.
PALIN: Well, you know, it sounds cliched to say that the president is disconnected from the American people on this issue, but how else do you describe it? He just doesn't get it, that this is an insensitive move on the part of those Muslims who want to build that mosque in this location. It feels like a stab in the heart to, collectively, Americans who still have that lingering pain from 9/11.
VAN SUSTEREN: So but where do you divide the line? Because you've got the 1st -- you know, they do have a -- there is a 1st Amendment to practice your religion. But the American people overwhelmingly say, well, you know, while they recognize the right, they just don't want the right exercised there.
PALIN: Well, exactly. And nobody argues that that freedom of religion that the Muslims have to build that mosque somewhere. However, there are 100 mosques already in New York. To choose and be so adamant about this exact location just a block or two away from 9/11, again, is that knife, it feels like. Now, if the purpose of this mosque, as we are lead to believe, is to create this tolerant environment, to avoid anything like a 9/11 ever repeating, you have to ask why didn't one of those 100 mosques already accomplish such a thing, allowing that tolerance and that acceptance of differing views? So I don't buy into that reason, that that's the purpose of this location being chosen.

Oh, I think he gets it all right.
The Terrorists attacked the WTC so a mosque would be built there.
Palin was on Greta last night. The section dealing on Anwar was spectacular. Palin said she invites him to come up there and visit the area before he makes any more areas off limits to drilling. Domestic oil production is of strategic importance was also mentioned. With Great prodding her, she just kept firing the darts at the muslim in chief.
So refreshing to have someone articulate the feelings I have about this issue.....and it doesn’t hurt that she’s beautiful either!

The problem is that he does get it.
"Would that the American people had but one heart!"
No Sarah, YOU don’t get it. Everything Odumba$$ does is intended to inflame, defame, and deride our country and its citizens. The quicker the GOP grows a spine and starts stating the obvious, the better for the country... I won’t be holding my breath.
Exactly the enemy is within - they are not American’s too!
Oh she does get it my friend. However she is being discerning about “how” she says it. Look the leader of this nation should be saying the things she is saying, but in fact he is saying the opposite. So when she is before the cameras she has to allow those that may be in the middle to “come” to that same conclusion. Believe me she has been very wise in her use of the media, endorsement and the like.
Sarah Palin Most definitely gets it, but she can't fly off the handle like those of us on an anonymous Internet forum.
Bingo. Most of us would not say what we say in this forum to our customers, clients and associates with the same vibrato and truth as we say it here.
I wonder how long THAT will last.
The mods get all verklempt when 0bama is portrayed as a shoe shine boy.
He gets it, and the stab in the heart is deliberate and intentional.
And I believe two of those 100 mosques are located within blocks of the World Trade Tower site. Shouldn't we close them down as well?
At least SOMEONE in the public eye is speaking out and saying what the average American feels inside.
For this alone, I will always be grateful to Sarah Palin: a voice crying out in the wilderness.
