The latest example is Reid's defense of his vote in favor of Leftwing extremist Elena Kagan for the U.S. Supreme Court.
Reid claims his vote for Kagan was 'out of concern for the Second Amendment.'
The outrageous nature of such a claim is evidenced by the fact that Kagan is on record stating she has 'no sympathy' for those who support gun rights, despite her claims before the Senate Judiciary Committee that she respects the 2 recent major Court decisions affirming the citizens' right to own, possess, and use handguns in self-defense.
However, Kagan has a long, documented history of opposing such rights while she served in various legal capacities, such as her role as aide to former Justice Thurgood Marshall, as an operative for the Clinton Administration, as the President of the Harvard Law School, and as Solicitor General for the Obama Administration.
CNS News highlights the outrageous nature of Reid's claims by citing specific examples of Kagan's overt opposition to gun rights:

Harry’s claim isn’t outrageous IF you see it from the perspective of a raging lib: To a lib, the 2nd is a collective, not an individual right. They see it as a surety that the military can exist, or some such nonsense. When he says it’s out of concern for the 2nd, he means that he feels that those dangerous right-wingers have been misinterpreting the right, and that Kagan will restore it to its proper place as the only collective right in the Bill of Rights (for those rights that refer to The People).
Next up: He voted for Obama's Health Ruination Act because he wanted to keep health care out of the hands of government.
Will this cost him the NRA’s endorsement?
Let’s see if the NRA takes the bait.
