I have listened to Dr. Laura for a number of years and she always understood the psychological needs of children, which was her forte. She had extremely sound and logical analysis of family situations.
I find the vitriol spewed at her and her “knowledge” has always come from two groups. Homosexuals and feminazis. It is because she believes in the natural rights of children (meaning they need to be raised by their biological mother and father) and believes that feminists and homosexuals are two extremely selfish groups who always put their profession or sexual lives on a higher level than the psychological and emotional needs of children.
Most damage to children has been done because of promiscuity, abandonment, and divorce and the emotional damage has been noted in suicides, drug use, out of wedlock births, and no ability to establish long term relationships.
She can not tolerate anyone who abuses children, and, like I said, her advice was always in the best interest of the child.
The woman is a fraud. She purports to give family advice while she is estranged from her own; is sanctimonious about relationships while she herself has been a serial adulterer and home-wrecker; and is highly critical of those whose moral standards are beneath her own even though she posed nude for her then-married boyfriend and was pregnant at her own second wedding. I wouldn’t wipe with a picture of her.
