The solution to such intimidation is to eat lots of garlic before such a meeting and exhale forcefully into the face of the person. Trust me, they back off immediately. (I learned that when garlic was touted as having antibiotic properties.)

I'm pretty sure approaching someone like that and hovering over them could arguably be termed "assault."

Not a safe dem district by any stretch. It was a safe GOP district until 2004. Now it is a swing seat. If it was safe she could have simply packed the meeting, or not bothered having one in the first place.

As for why nobody fought back you need to learn a few important concepts about Illinois. The Democrats control the police unions, and by default the cops. The Democrats control all the judges and prosecutors. Throw a punch at a Democrat political operative and you will end up sharing a cell with bubba. That is if you survive the trip the the police station.

Actually, it was a very educational meeting.

They learned a great deal about the attitude and practices of our Democrat ruling class toward citizens.

We can all laugh about Minnesota having clown politicians, but Illinois is tops at crooked politicians.

Why the hell did not someone (I saw the video)not ask “what is this thug trying to do”?

Why is my luck to never get this experience? Well, maybe because in Texas our politicians know we voters would stand up to this sort of intimidation. Illinois must be a herd of sheep.

Very few people watch what happens from the knees down. A couple light kicks the this guy’s shins would have provoked this guy to do something stupid. But that requires courage. Something that seemed to be lacking among this group.
