AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and hes not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (thats Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! Americas anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to dothats host. Get ready to what you were born to dothats listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).
I know. I wanted Bubba to win so bad. But at least he made the Ryder Cup team!
He’s freaking awesome, especially on twitter. And he does tweet back too...
I wanted Worwy McIlwoy to win too, he’s such a good kid. Mrs S was so sad Bubba blew up, she was really pulling for him. Is he officially the longest ball hitter?
He and Dustin both bomb the hell outta the ball. I don’t think BW blew up. I know for a fact he wished he had that tee shot at 17 in regulation back. As for 18 in the playoff, he wanted to put the pressure on Martin. I could see that play. He had the right distance but just pulled the shot too far left.
And that bunker shot freaking awesome. If that had only gone in....
As for Rory, dude’s winning at least 10 majors. It’s just a matter of how soon #1comes.
If I were Corey Pavin, I know 3 of his 4 picks for the Ryder Cup already.
Tiger’s a lock. Ain’t no way he’s keeping him off the team.
Zach Johnson is a lock too. Dude can bring it and if he were 1 shot better yesterday would be on the team.
Rickie Fowler is also a lock. This kid has everything you need for a team event and since he and Bubba are such good friends, this is a no brainer.
I don’t know who his 4th pick would be. There’s a lot of Americans who haven’t played particularily well this year and Corey is got lots too see the next 3 weeks....
“the union accused him of being a communist”
That’s rich!
After my grandfather was reported to HUAC, he of course lost the Democrat primary for his seat, and was investigated for years by the FBI. They interviewed all the neighbors, the members of his church and anyone else that knew him. They found nothing, but that didn’t stop them. My grandfather died a few years later of mesothelioma and the FBI attended his funeral to see if any communists showed up.
Oh, my grandmother was with my grandfather the day that he was run over and injured almost as badly. So, the guy got the president of the union and the president of the local WCTU at one shot.
There’s an author who had written a book about RCA, named Jefferson Cowie. The guy teachers labor relations at Cornell and his book is used as text at a lot of colleges that teach the history of labor unions.
I had an email correspondence with him, explaining where he went wrong. At first he tried to say that the reason that the CIOA didn’t want him to be president was because he was an extremely skilled worker. Then he asked me if I was insinuating that foul play was involved in my grandfather’s accident. I told him, no I wasn’t, but others had. You see my grandfather didn’t die when he was run over, that a battlefield trained surgeon at Cooper hospital had put him back together and rebuilt his legs with steel bars. Then I told him the rest. He never answered the last email. I’ve been thinking of forwarding the emails to the history dept of University of Penna because I’ve read that they use the book in one of their courses. I figure that they might be interested since they are so close to where RCA was located.
Life is short as I've come to realize in my 50's. Don't let any info slip away from history.
