President Barack Obama's weekend remarks supporting the right to build a mosque near Ground Zero reverberated across the country, nationalizing a debate over the New York City project.
"It will galvanize their desire for resistance to the mosque," he said. "It confirms in their minds the idea that Mr. Obama seems to be more accommodating to the Islamic world than he is for the Christian representation in America."

A comment I ran across——
Well, in the interests of treating everyone equally regardless of religion, I would expect our Messiah/President to support the building of a Christian Cathedral in Mecca with lots of crosses on top, Christian liturgies in the Church of the Holy Wisdom in Constantinople, a huge statue of St. Paul inscribed with his warnings against homosexuality in the Castro district of San Francisco, a Hitler Museum adjacent to Auschwitz and a Ku Klux Klan Cultural Center next door to good ol Rev. Wright. Gotta treat em all equally, doncha know. Dont forget - this clown once said that the mooslim call to prayer is the most beautiful sound in the world. What an entirely worthless fool.
That WSJ confirmed what is going on, at for example, at FaceBook, there is a “Say No To Ground Zero Mosque FB page and the response was BIG. People are very much against this propose mosque so close to Ground Zero.
I want Obama to lecture us on the constitutional right of Fred Phelps, founder of the Westboro Baptist Church, to continue whatever insanity he is up to this month.
"ALOHA"
Did the Obamas ever find a church to attend in D.C.?
(Aside from their bedroom and bathroom mirrors, that is)
It won’t get built. No American will work on the project, not even Obama’s union buddies. But it will be interesting to see how far the Iman and Obama let it go before pulling the plug on it.
The union workers WILL build the Ground Zero victory mosque if they are told to by their bosses. They will do everything they are told to do.
Governor Sarah Palin “nationalized” the debate, which is probably why Duh Won felt the need to chime in when speaking to his co-religionists at the iftar dinner.
Exactly. No “seems” about it. Obama hasn’t even PRETENDED to be a Christian since he entered the White House. But he never misses an opportunity to be a Muslim.
“My Muslim faith.” He said it. And every day he demonstrates it.
And I expect he would defend the right of Israel to build apartments in East Jerusalem. Oh, wait...
Maybe, but hopefully they will have on-site lunches of ham sandwiches, pork rines, blt’s, etc and be very very sloppy.....
In your case, would those be Muslim beliefs or Reverend Wright's beliefs Mr. President?
I am serious. Put yourself in President Obama's shoes; he spent 20 years in church listening to Rev. Wright's hate speech about America ("G.. D.... America"). His mosque position is totally in line with his beliefs and his exposure to religion. Rev. Wright is his NORMAL (just like the child of an alcoholic knows no other type of father and the alcoholic becomes his normal). Obama can't even imagine how 90 % of Americans think about this country (which is why he needs speechwriters and a teleprompter).
They have elected the enemy.
It’s interesting that Obama seems to be a champion of religious rights only when it is the Islamic religion that is trying to exercise them.
I support the building of a mosque - - so long as it is next door to Fred Phelps’ church.
How about religious freedom for Catholic hospitals and health workers?
I nominate this observation an Understatement Of The Year!
Mr. Obama is a Muslim partisan, and I haven't seen his supposed “Christian Baptismal” certificate yet either!
This is a Christian Nation, before Obama and will be After Obama. Islam has contributed nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, to the heritage of this country!
