I think many people wanted so badly to have an African American President, simply to show they were not racists, that they voted for him. The press didn’t cover the things that should have risen red flags, and he had a weak opponent who the Republicans didn’t like very much. At least that’s my take.

Love that guest list. Might as well just let Saudi Arabia fund a mosque on White House grounds.

Love that guest list. Might as well just let Saudi Arabia fund a mosque on White House grounds. Did you ever in your wildest nightmares envision that we would have someone usurping the Oval office and sitting there taunting America by rubbing our collective faces in the crap emitted by his buddies on 9/11?

Re: Shaarik Zafar, I think the joke is decidedly on
us.
From his title, you'd be led to believe that he had some sort of background in Intel/Counterintelligence.
Er...not exactly. Instead, prior to his current role, Zafar served as a senior policy advisor in the Office of Civil Rights & Civil Liberties at DHS. Before that, Zafar served as (I am not making this up) "Special Counsel for Post 9/11 National Origin Discrimination" at the Department of Justice, where he led DOJs "Initiative to Combat Post 9/11 Discriminatory Backlash".
