When was the last time leading Arabs or Muslims came to the defense of Jews? I say that because a phenomenal thing happened in America last week. American Jews were divided, but still led the national debate on whether or not a mosque should be allowed within blocks of Ground Zero, the spot where the Twin Towers collapsed under a terrorist assault on September 11, 2001.
Although the Anti-Defamation League flip-flopped on the issue, supporting it on principle and then later opposing it on emotional grounds, it did so with attempted gracefulness.
The ADL noted the intense emotions aroused and said that Muslims seeking to build the mosque should recognize the feelings of those who lost family, relatives and friends in the al-Qaida terrorist attack.
Yet the ADL was just one of the American Jewish voices addressing the controversy; the leading Jewish defenders were not only passionate in their defense but stubborn about the principle involved.
Among those voices was one of the countrys leading Jewish politicians, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, whose eyes welled up with emotion while he declared that Muslims have every right to build a mosque, just as Christians and Jews could build a church or synagogue nearby.
Bloomberg was consistent in May when he declared: I think its fair to say if somebody was going to try to build a church or synagogue on that piece of property, nobody would be yelling and screaming.
The fact of the matter is that Muslims have a right to do it, too.

What In heaven’s name?
Weird....
Most American Jews voted for a Muslim.
Can we expect a such a burden to come without a price?
I’m afraid most of the religions outside of the faith of Islam have lost a great percentage of their followers. Most people who claim to be of a certain faith whether Jewish, Christian or whatever are symply referring to something they have grown up in but know very little about the faith they claim. Even the Church leadership have abandoned the precepts and allowed the Social Justice crowd to move them to the religion of big government.
Follow the money.
I have already forgotten which Democrat said “I don’t know why anyone of Hispanic descent would be a Republican,” but I didn’t really jump on him when he said it because.... I don’t know why anyone Jewish is Democrat!!! Seriously!! I don’t get it!!
Somebody on FR (pinged maybe) told me it was out of gratitude for FDR and WWII vs. the Nazis. Seems the most plausible. However, why do Blacks abandon Abe Lincoln's party?
If they did, most of them would have a different attitude.
Actually, polls in my city (the largest city in the United States and the second largest Jewish city after Tel Aviv) show Jews opposed to construction of the Mosque.
State Department was the worst. My great uncle worked at a consulate in Vichy France. He tried to get the Jewish families of American citizens out and was stymied. He then tried to inform the US media of the Holocaust and the role of the State Department. He was told that he could either go back to the US through Spain, or he would have his paper taken and be dropped outside as a Jew.
As far as I'm concerned voting Democrat is an act of antisemitism. But you see, I'm not descended from the Great Wave migrants of 1880-1920. Those idiots imagined that McCarthy was an antisemite and Stalin a friend of Jews in the 1940s and 1950s. (And that following the faith of an antisemite like Marx does not make you a convert from Judaism into an antisemitic hate cult.) My father and both sets of grandparents survived the Holocaust and Communists.
That shouldn’t be necessary.
Remember, Karl Marx was the biggest self-hating Jew of them all who went on to hate Jews. Communism, liberalism and anarchism are the most anti-semitic political ideas in history.
Stumpled across this forum. These appear to be a different kind of Jew
They hate muzzies.

But I think it's important to remember that most American Jews are abandoning their Faith, intermarrying to non-Jews and not raising their children Jewish. Taking up liberal and communist ideology is the result of this.
