A Giant Eagle near me sells beer now. In the legal fiction of a separate restaurant that just happens to be in the middle of the supermarket.
That I can handle.
I oppose selling the state stores cause our politicians in Harrisburg would just use the big pile of cash to enrich themselves and their cronies, buy votes, and convert a yearly revenue into debt through a bond issue of some sort.
Does anyone doubt that?
You may be right, but the state store system is archaic and just not practical. It’s one more example of government trying to run a business and failing miserably at it.
