Coulter to Keynote for Homosexualist GOPride

WASHINGTON, D.C., August 11, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) -- GOProud, which bills itself as the "only national organization representing gay conservatives," has announced that well-known conservative author Ann Coulter is headlining their first annual "Homocon."

The announcement shocked both advocates of traditional family values and homosexualist advocates of "gay rights," who have previously attacked Coulter for her supposedly homophobic language and beliefs.

Christopher Barron, Chairman of the Board of GOProud, said he could think of no "conservative more fun to headline our inaugural party then the self-professed ‘right-wing Judy Garland’--Ann Coulter." Judy Garland is an icon among homosexuals.

“The gay left has done their best to take all the fun out of politics, with their endless list of boycotts and protests," said Barron. "Homocon is going to be our annual effort to counter the ‘no fun police’ on the left."

The GOProud "party" will be taking place Saturday, September 25, in New York City. Sponsorships of the event, which include two tickets, are available for $2500, while general admission tickets go on sale August 20th for $250.

Peter La Barbera, president of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH) said that Coulter should reconsider her appearance at the event. "As a fan of Ann Coulter, it pains me to see her cave in to political correctness and lend credibility to the phony homosexual "conservatives" over at GOProud," he stated.

He said that half of GOProud's top 10 federal priorities center on advancing homosexuality. The federal legislative priorities that GOProud endorses include repealing the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" ban on homosexuals serving in the military, "defending" the Constitution by "opposing any anti-gay federal marriage amendment," and changing the tax code in a way that "will provide equity for gays and lesbians."

What allies are turning into critics, just wondering? Not trying to argue, just that statement got me curious.

Just in case anyone wants yet another article about Ann Coulter's speaking engagement at the Homo"con" whatver it is. The discussion is quite - lively - and check out, if you have not, GOProud's legislative agenda, with the main non-conservative homosexual agenda parts in bold and underlined. If Coulter does not criticize their non-conservative agenda, she's pretty much "outed" herself as a - well, as not a conservative after all.

“Let me summarize the COTUS for you — MIND YOUR OWN DAMN BUSINESS.”

That is an extreme “Libertian” point of view and NOT at all consistent with the original intent of the people that created the constitution. Sodomites were kicked out of Washington’s army....and laws forbiding homosexual behavior, until recently were not seen a unconstitutional. More of that “living breathing” liberal nonsense.

The moral/social conservatives of the GOP make up the solid base of the party. Embracing Homosexuality with a “Im OK your’re OK” attitude is going to destroy the GOP and any chance of solidiflying the opposition to Democrats. IF you want to say being a homosexual is OK...fine...you should become a democrate. The GOP cannot afford to go with the “Big Tent” idea...”Big Tents” are only good for circuses.

Oh well I figured that I would get a lecture! But you know what? I really don’t care, I just thought some people on here needed reminding when they get just a bit too judgmental. I don’t need to be lectured at. You know darn well what I was referring to!

I should know better than to interrupt and spoil a thread where there are people having so much fun picking someone apart and ‘throwing stones’ at them. Sheesh, some of you people turn on conservative heros so fast, it’s frightening! The knee-jerking frenzy some people get into when their conservative star squirms around on the pedestal is too much!

But really, for goodness sakes, some people insinuating that Ann C. is a transvestite because of a large Adam’s apple, or that she’s gay because she’s never been married? That’s asinine! There’s a lot of folks that have never married, and are definitely not gay!

About three or four months ago when asked to name contenders for the Republican 2012 nomination, Coulter mentioned Romney and a couple other rinos. Palin didn’t exist to Coulter.

And now this.

“What consenting adults do, so long as it’s not in public, is really none of my business. I don’t understand why you think it is your business, however.”

In all those years as a Navy JAG officer...you are going to say that you never helped remove a homosexual from the military. You were so BIG on stomping out LTC Lakin over “violating” the UCMJ, but you don’t have a problem with homosexuals doing so?

Sorry, I don’t want anyone, even a homosexual, to suffer physical abuse, but I don’t want my political party or nation to say their lifestyle is OK. IF homosexuals don’t belong in the military, which they don’t, I have to question if they belong in ANY form of federal or state employment.

“FR is a conservative site. We do not appreciate our members fighting against us on our conservative values and issues. If you wish to support homosexual marriage or homosexuals in the military or hate crimes against us for speaking out against government promotion of homosexuality that’s your business, but you’d better do it somewhere else and not on FR. If you value your posting privileges, that is. FR is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-marriage, pro-military, pro-traditional American conservatism and it is a privilege to post here. Those who support the godless liberal/Marxist destruction of our free society and our country are free to exercise their free speech rights elsewhere. I won’t stand in your way.”

Worth repeating. Mr. Robinson, there are many on this thread that need to be banned from FR. OldDeckHand is one.

Good point. I’d say you’ve illustrated a major contradiction here. The word fraud comes to mind.

“The Tea Party refuses to take ANY stand on social issues, yet they’re embraced by most Republicans. If the homosexuals like the Republican financial policies better than the Dem policies, we can take every additional vote we can get.”

The enemy (tea party) is my friend. An enemy (homosexuals) are never a friend. IF they chose to vote GOP great, but they should never expect anything in return.

Unfortunately they do not keep it in their bedrooms. They force it into our churches, every business in the land, and worst of all our schools, perverting the minds and corrupting the hearts of our children with “how to” lessons on gay sex. I am sorry to inform you that IS against the law yet our govt sanctions it.

It is late...I meant to write the “enemy of my enemy is my friend” which explains acceptance of tea party support. An enemy can never be a friend....they can at best be a co-beligerant.

Very true. How Coulter doesn’t take these facts into account is beyond me, and goes against everything she supposedly represents.

Coulter must be completely gone.

I've been here at FR a while. I have enormous respect for Jim Robinson. I respect his intended purpose for this site (not to mention the hours of work, the hassle, the commitment, the expense, etc). I am grateful for the fine work he does. My position is also pro-God, pro-life, pro-marriage, pro-military, etc.

I am not pro-witchhunt, however. I haven't read any posts here that today that are truly pushing a homosexual agenda or violating the rules set forth.

One of the things I have enjoyed about this site is that I felt all different types of conservatives could freely debate legitimate ideas with reasoned argument. I fear that time has passed.

If you read a lot of comments from a number of people who consistently support leftist social crap, you’d know what’s going on. Ever since the pervert judge in CA overturned Prop 8, they’ve crawled out of the woodwork in jubilation.

The GOProud’s legislative agenda is almost straight up homosexual agenda.

What do you think?
