NPR seemed to be pushing the concept of "Those poor black people! How did this go on for so long?? Was it because the victims were black? Now, if the victims had been white, and the perp had been black -- don't you think the authorities would have made this a higher priority??"

I'll make my prediction: If this perp is a Muslim, media coverage will be made a lower priority.

Oh, I agree.

However, this brings up a couple of points that need to be pounded home:

(1) The media places no value on African-American victims of crime unless the perpetrator is a certified "evil white guy."

(2) Black victims of crime will be ignored by the media if foreign Muslims are involved, since the media cares more about them than African-Americans.

(3) Foreign Muslims are not the friends and brothers of African-Americans and their interests are not aligned, despite propaganda to the contrary.
