This is an interesting piece putting together various current events to point out that the war is coming.

What would have the greater seismic effect? The bombs and shells exploding in Iran, or the skull explosions on Kos and DU??

But if war cannot be avoided, the West should keep in mind Iran's rich history of principles, humanity and dignity. Bombing Iran into the stone age is not the answer, for the country is rich in culture and its people are much more pro-West than most Americans realize.

How do you bomb a country that is already in the stone age into the stone age?

Interesting....this would explain the recent “softening” between Obama and Bibi. It could also be a political maneuvre before the mid-terms to show the “strength” of the president.

There will only be war involving the US if Obama determines it is in his domestic political benefit.

I believe war in the mid east is inevitable, but we have the wrong leader as commander in chief at this point in history.

Obama would like nothing more than to see thousands of American military men killed.

If it comes, it should be an air war. Every time the Army convinces and administration (in this case a regime) that they need “boots on the ground” it results in a long drawn out nation building exercise. We can’t afford that this time. Carpet bomb the SOBs until they beg for mercy!

No way Obama would do it.

-His base won't allow it.
-His religion won't allow it.
-His hate for America won't allow it

Part of his ideology is based on the premise that America has raped other countries throughout it's history.

When I read the headline I thought the article was referring to a revolution here. Barring a political shift in the near future, I think the headline applies.

Something seems amiss here. Its unlikely Obama would willingly murder his Islamic bretheren. The guys been cozying up to these people since he got into office. I want to know how this benefits him, not America, but him. I’m tending to think the disaster on the economy here a war would produce is the kind of benefit he would be looking for. I think, to steal Forbes’s line, that Obama wants to pound America back into the Stone Age.

The reform these two men offer is not what the majority of Iranians want: They want an end to the current Islamic regime.

The American version:
The reform Obama offers is not what the majority of Americans want: They want an end to the current Socialist regime.

So you see, ladies and gentlemen, people yearn to be free in the most unexpected places..................

the Obama administration missed an opportunity to support Iran's uprising

Deliberate? Or incompetence/inexperience?

Can’t go to war. It would disrupt all zero’s upcoming vacations. Can’t have that now, can we?

Think about it this way. Most people don’t understand the Muslim community. Muslims are devided into two groups, Sunni and Shiite. They hate each other.

Now, consider this. Iran is the last Shiite stronghold in the Mid East. Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Afganisan, and the rest of the Middle East countries are majority Sunni. Obama was schooled in Indonesia in a Wahabi school which is Sunni so that’s where his heart is. Don’t forget that Rev. Wright also has his religious roots in Sunni Islam.

Saudi Arabia has now allowed Israel to have a base there so that Israel can strike Iran without re-fueling.

If Saudi Arabia, Israel, India, and America combine to totally and completley destroy the Shiite leadership in Iran the Sunni would have complete control of the Middle East.

Obama would look good because he helped elliminate the threat of Iran with nuclear weapons.

The people of Israel would like that because that threat is gone.
The people in Arab countries would like it because he put Sunni in power.
Many people in the US, particularly those who think something needs to be done about Iran, would think he may be a tougher President then they thought.

Obama would then be in a good position to broker a peace deal between Israel and the Arab world.

Then all yell breaks out.
