Look at how happy that soldier is to see W. I imagine he would have had a much different face had odumbo greeted him, that is if that idiot took a break from vacations to actually greet returning herosl.
Ann Richardson’s remark was directed at George H. W. Bush, as I recall...it was made at one of the Democratic conventions (maybe 1988).
Nah,
He is working a side gig.
On the same thought track... imagine waking up from your dream and realizing you really did go to work without clothes on.
BWAH! That actually might be fun. :)
Bush was seen at the Rangers-Yankees game sitting next to Nolan Ryan tonight on ESPN.
some years ago at a rally or convention for the Dems Anne Richardson was at the podium and made a joke about GW being born with a silver foot in his mouth.
July 18, 1988 Democratic National Convention, Keynote Address by Ann Richards. The remark was about George H W Bush.... and is as follows.
....And, for eight straight years George Bush hasn’t displayed the slightest interest in anything we care about.
And now that he’s after a job that he can’t get appointed to, he’s like Columbus discovering America. He’s found child care. He’s found education.
Poor George. He can’t help it - he was born with a silver foot in his mouth. ...
Class Act. Thank you W.
Class and dignity. That’s how it is done, boys.
I bet Barry bit off one of his fingers while dining on some lamb when he heard about this. Barry could not find time to go over to visit the Boy Scouts, Barry who cannot seem to do anything except campaign or take vacations.
” They (ESPN) have shown President Bush and Laura sitting with Nolan Ryan at the ballpark in Arlington, TX tonight; enjoying the ass-whupin that the Rangers are putting on the Skankees...”
You accidentally misspelled Yankees :-)
President Bush and Mrs Bush looked like normal citizens enjoying America’s past time.
No entourage, no scowling wife, no special demands ,
no narcissistic and inappropriate behavior and no Reggie Love lurking.
Slightly OT-DFW and American Airlines do a great job when the soldiers transit through.
My son recently came through DFW on his R&R
from Afghanistan .
DFW passengers applauded the soldiers
as made their way through the airport.
American Airlines did everything they could to expedite the soldiers getting home, including putting them in First Class.
American allows soldiers to use their First Class Admiral’s Lounge in DFW and at their home airports when in transit.
USO also has a nice lounge at DFW for our soldiers to use on their long layovers.
The pilot on their returning aircraft passed along the thanks from the various ATC as they made their way across the USA .
Unlike Obama, many real Americans like George and Laura Bush
have not forgotten that we are at war and don’t hesitate to show their appreciation for the troops.
This will warm your heart.
Two of my most treasured memories was being in line to welcome home a planeload of soldiers on leave during the hardest times in Iraq. The fact my daughter was one of them had something to do with it, but there were better men and women than me doing it every day, and I appreciate them greatly. I feel guilty for not joining them from time to time, but GW should feel much more guilty than I. Don’t start a war you can’t finish is a motto all presidents should live by.
Now my eyes are full of tears.
On our trip to Alaska this past June, EVERY soldier I saw in the airports, I went over to, shook his/her hand and said thank you. I can’t help it.
I might take Nixon.
Terrific! Thank you for the link. Made my day.
Nice report. Thank you.
My bad. :-)
God bless George W Bush
