The White House today confirmed what many islanders have been anticipating for weeks: The first family will return to Martha's Vineyard for vacation next month.
President Obama and his family are scheduled to vacation on the island from Aug. 19 to Aug. 29.

I read that Bush played golf the same amount of times in 8 years as Obama has in close to 2 years.

Lord, I hope we see changes in November that will convince me the country is waking up. Listening to MSM is to the detriment of all and I am sure they have been silent on the vacation activities of the “first family.” Of course, the 13% of the polls that always say “I dunno” make me crazy. It’s as though they live in another universe - not even knowing simple questions as to who is the vice-president!

Last year, they banned the press from coming. Are they going to ban the press again this year? Is there something that goes on during this particular vacation that they don't want the press to see?
Also, last year they didn't have their pet dog Bo. Will they bring Bo along with them this year?

And if I go on vaca, I lose production and have to make up the shifts to stay even with my partners. So that’s not really even a paid vacation. Must be nice to take a vaca with no real-life consequences. Govt employees, including the POTUS, are the MORE equal animals. I need to go work for Bell, CA. Oh, I guess the jig is up on that one...
I wish I could afford to take a 10 day vacation to rest up from my exhausting European vacation..............
They're counting the time President Bush spent at the "Western White House", Camp David and any other overnight away from Washington to rack up his number.
Remember when he said he was going to spend a month at Crawford? The State Run Media went nuts. Of course he can work just as well at Crawford as he can in DC 'cause he stays there. He wasn't traveling around Texas day in and day out hobnobbing with the rich and famous to keep his face in the news and running up the travel tab on the taxpayer dime.
Here we have Queen Barry and King Michelle jetting off to New York, Maine, Florida, Spain, Massachusetts, Europe, etc., living the good life of sightseeing, wining and dining and consoling friends by giving them a European vacation on the taxpayer dime.
They’re doing both.
Only 2%? Mine went up 44% and I didn't even have a claim on it during the last 18 months.
Our insurance broker flat out told us it was because of the DeathCare bill and that the insurance company was getting it's profits in now before it didn't have any.
And in between clearing brush, Bush treated the ranch as a “Western White House” and actually did Presidential work and received dignitaries. Bambi’s time out of DC is purely for frolicking. Not that that differs from his time IN DC.

if you want on a policy you must pass a physical very much like a nurse coming to your house to get life insurance.
I swear to my God I will dump our health insurance to eat as I am hearing companies drawing down and no longer paying for health insurance or matching 401 K’s and peoples entire paychecks are going to their health insurance shortly before they are laid off.
So I will get black shoe polish and get it free so I can eat.
