Laura Ingraham was on the Glenn Beck radio show in the last hour this morning...While talking about potential candidates for 2012, She was asked if Romney was a "progressive" she said NO he isn't one of them at all...I've heard that she loves Romney like a Ken doll and is a Romneybot, but this is amazing!
She also said that she would take Newt as President in a heartbeat!
What gives?
I think her and Michelle Makin should get ORiley’s show and he should get a goose egg.
“What Gives?”
Establishment GOP
Rommney is a two-faced double dealing rump-swab. His RINO nose is far up Michael Steele’s butt. He royally screwed up Massachusetts with his “Rommneycare” BS — and lefty Patrick Duval kept the abomination in place (that in itself should tell you something about the real Rommney) If not for Mittens, Massachusetts would not have become the ice-breaker for homosexual “marriage.” Rommney rolled over on that like a trained RINO lap-dog... same as the rest of the establishment RINOs that control the MA GOP.
Mitt Rommney is a smooth-talking, back stabbing “moderate” ... a wolf in sheep’s clothing that talks a good game, but bends you over to grab your ankles every time.
Well, sometimes her show is rather dull. She is also the worst interviewer you will ever listen too, especially with guests she disagrees with. She can be shockingly rude to them. Other than that she's OK. Her new book sounds hilarious. I read some lefties are calling it racist, so it must be on target.
I like Laura. She is pretty much right on.
The GOP had best get rid of those stupid winner-take-all primaries and fast. I see a guy like Romney getting the nod because true conservatives split the vote.
I’ve been yelling about this for years. Winner-take-all primaries will doom the GOP to a McCain repeat.

GLENN: Do you see anybody that is do you think Chris Christie would run?
INGRAHAM: I like him.
GLENN: I do, too.
INGRAHAM: I like him a lot and I think the idea of someone who is not working out every five seconds and you know, might be a little bit corpulent but has really good common sense ideas, that might actually be the anti Obama play and could be really fascinating. So, I love Christie. I mean, I like a lot of the people out there.
GLENN: Who do you think is going to run? Do you think Sarah Palin’s going to run?
INGRAHAM: I you know, I’m guessing what Sarah’s going to do. I think not, but
GLENN: I think so, too.
INGRAHAM: I don’t think so. I think she’s a king and queen maker and I think that’s an incredibly positive role and she’s an entrepreneur and, look, she has more experience than Barack Obama ever had and obviously wouldn’t be doing some of the bone headed things he’s doing. So, they would have been, you know, a now she would be leaps and bounds above what he’s done and, you know, that’s not saying much, but she would have done great.
GLENN: Can Mitt Romney win with his with his flirting with socialism in I mean, is he a progressive or is he
INGRAHAM: No.
GLENN: a good guy?
INGRAHAM: No, he’s not. I mean, I think that Romney I mean, look, Glenn, he got caught in this Iraq trap, I think, in the last election. He was talking a lot about Iraq and War on Terror and people were just tired of that. They wanted they wanted the CEO and chief in Romney and I told him at the time. I was a big supporter of his. I really like him a lot, but I didn’t follow through on growing the prosperity class message which I think he is now onto. He needs to mess up his hair a little bit, do a little do a little less Ward Cleaver and a little more Fonzie.
GLENN: It’s not going to happen. It’s not going to happen.
INGRAHAM: Maybe not, maybe not, but I like him.
GLENN: It’s not going to happen.
INGRAHAM: No.
GLENN: Newt Gingrich, can he win?
INGRAHAM: I think the problem, maybe, with Newt is he has incredible ideas and I like Newt very much. I mean, look, I love him. If he would be President tomorrow, I would be a happy person. I think what he might be perceived, though, Glenn is a little too 1994 and that people want, you know, 2012. They don’t want 1994. As much as they love Gingrich and I can be totally wrong, but that’s
GLENN: Do you see anybody out there that you say, Nobody really knows about this person, but this person you have to watch?
INGRAHAM: Well, no. I don’t really see anyone sort of emerging from the states that we don’t that we don’t know of and
GLENN: All right. Do you
INGRAHAM: Rick Perry is someone I think a lot of people are talking about, as well, and you know, Glenn Beck and people like that.
and Ann Coulter loves gays now
I think she still likes Mitt, so she didn’t want to call him a “progressive” but what else could he be called after MA’s failed “Romney-care”?
They are both anti-birthers too. I dropped both of them after that. Sad cause I liked Coulter. I think we are getting played by almost all of them except Rush and maybe Levin.
Mitt’s from Michigan isn’t he?
Was the word they used actually progressive? Because if so, it’s true - Romney isn’t progressive at all. Progressives should not be confused with liberals - indeed, much confusion results especially at sites like dailykos when this mistake is made.
Progressives are people who pay lip service to nice ideals. They don’t actually endorse those ideals or support them - but paying lip service to those ideals allows them to feel superior to everyone else. Progressives are all for something - or at least say they are - until there’s a possibility it might actually happen, at which point they start coming up with excuses for why it shouldn’t be done.
By that standard, Romney is no progressive. He is a liberal - because he actually tries to implement his ideals instead of just talking about them.
For crying out loud, she's speaking at one event of some gay political group...lol.
Ann likes the raucus and ALL the publicity.
I tuned her blabbing out long ago.
According to my understanding, progressive is well to the left of liberal, and pretty much amounts to commie, because, what are they progressing towards, you know? So, she's saying he's not a committed communist. Not like some.
OK, so she's a fellow traveler too. Her radio show, her unfunny puns and her voice couldn't be more irritating.
The question might be better asked of Glen.
Mitt’s an R +/-, but far from progressive in my world
Laura’s a strong conservative who has not gone soft.
She simply likes him. I did too at first, and could again if he was our nominee ....especially given our financial situation.
On further reflection, Beck has called McCain a progressive,
so I suppose Mitt could qualify according to GB.
RINO is what he is.
isnt Romney the one who helped make the big healthcare mess in his state..
Pro gay marriage
Pro gays in the military
Pro choice
Romneycare
Pro big government
Pro gun control
Anti 2nd Amendment
Anti personal responsibility
Anti American
Anti military
Anti Ronald Reagan
Multiple faced liar
Not the dictionary definition of progress, but he is definitely what is known in politics as a progressive, otherwise known as liberal.
A lot of people here do not realize just how far left and Democrat that Romney was before he started preparing for the national race.
Romney was radically left before the new face was put on in 2006.
Beck has pushed Romney also, so has Hewitt and the little known Medved.
Actually Hewitt is obsessed with the guy and will do or say anything to get him in office.
