Obama has lost eligibility issue
WND -- World Net Daily ^ | August 10, 2010 | Joseph Farah

Posted on 08/09/2010 11:54:26 PM PDT by stevenl77

Just as Richard Nixon lost the battle of Watergate because of cover-up and stonewalling, Barack Obama has lost the battle over his constitutional eligibility for the same sins.

With the latest CNN poll showing only 42 percent of Americans definitively persuaded that he was born in the U.S., those who claimed this wasn't a "winning issue" have been proven wrong.

Not only is it a winning issue, it is the only issue that can effectively undo the nightmare of the Obama era in one fell swoop.

There would be no need for repealing Obamacare if it turns out his presidency was a sham from the beginning.

There would be no need to wait until Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan retire or die to see them replaced on the Supreme Court if it turns out his presidency was a sham from the beginning.

There would be no need to wring our hands in hopes that future congresses and future presidents might roll back all of the damage Obama has inflicted on America if it turns out his presidency was sham from the beginning.

There would be no need to wait until 2011 in hopes that a new Republican majority might impeach Obama if it turns out his presidency was a sham from the beginning.

There would be no need to wait until 2012 for another chance to replace Obama if it turns out his presidency was a sham from the beginning.

That's why this issue is so important.

The Supreme Court was WRONG in this decision (as with many others).
If according to the Constitution the man was never President, ANYTHING he signed into law is MEANINGLESS, black-robed tyrants be damned.....

Well, you have your opinion and the Supreme Court has theirs.
If Obama was to be removed, wouldn’t the new President, Joe Biden just re-implement everything that Obama had signed into law and all of Obama’s appointments anyway?
President Biden would have a busy 24 hours and probably need a splint on his signing arm.

Nope, the laws would be tied up in court for an eternity.
It wouldn’t be a matter of erasing one signature and replacing another....

Nice fantasy but it won’t happen. There is nowhere in the Constitution that it refers to anything even remotely like you are fantasizing. If a president is impeached and removed, his past actions remain. If a president resigns, as did Nixon, his past actions remain.

If he was a non-citizen, he never WAS the President...I know asking for common sense from lawyers and judges is like asking a lemon to be a watermelon, but the fact is, I’m right whether the Courts agree or not...it wouldn’t be the first time the LAW stood in the way of JUSTICE...

The usurper is always one court case away from his downfall.

Now please name which 5 of this list will vote to undo the last election.

John Roberts
Antonin Scalia
Anthony Kennedy
Clarence Thomas
Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Stephen Breyer
Samuel Alito
Sonya Sotomayor
Elena Kagaan

(I don't believe for a second that they will take a case with that sort of ramification, but assuming they do.)

I’m sure you’re right in your own mind but getting an official judicial or legislative body to go along with you is proving difficult.

“Plaintiffs have encouraged the Court to ignore mandates of the Constitution; to disregard the limits put on its power put in place by the Constitution; and to effectively overthrow a sitting president who was popularly elected by “We the people”—over sixty nine million of the people.
Plaintiffs have attacked the judiciary, including every prior court that has dismissed their claim, as unpatriotic and even treasonous for refusing to grant their requests and for adhering to the terms of the Constitution which set forth its jurisdiction. Respecting the Constitutional role and jurisdiction of this court is not unpatriotic. Quite the contrary, this Court considers commitment to that constitutional role to be the ultimate reflection of patriotism.”—US Federal District Court Judge David O. Carter in dismissing “Captain Pamela Barnett, et. al. v Barack H. Obama, et. al.” October 29, 2009

Judge Carter is a former US Marine Corps Lieutenant. A Vietnam War combat vet who won the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart in the Battle of Khe Sahn.

It's funny, on my mother's side of the family we're direct decedents of John Alden. My grandmother's maiden name was Alden. Does that make me a “natural born citizen?”

Run for president, get a major party’s endorsement, put a scanned image of your short form birth certificate on the internet and then we’ll find out.
Oh, and if you were born in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia, you should be good to go unless you are the child of a foreign diplomat or the child of an invading foreign military occupying US territory.

You said exactly what I think the real issue is, and furthermore, I think Dear Imposter is using the birth certificate flap to hide his Indonesian citizenship, which he claimed to get preference in his college applications/loans.

You said:

“I’m more interested in his “renaturalization” and citizenship history after he was adopted in Jakarta, which made him an exclusively Indonesian citizen. And did he use Indonesian passports when he was in his 20’s, and apply for student aid as a “foreign” student? “

HEY!!!

You and I are related, as I too am a descendant of John and Priscilla.

Should we compare notes sometime, and see how many “removed” we are from each other? I wonder how many of us there are?

And also the most divisive president ever.

Well he certainly has done a good job of dividing conservatives.

I thought that was a minor slip. Are you saying he went inside and put his hand on the Koran?

If he’s Muslim then he doesn’t recognize taking oath on the bible.

I’m hoping today will find us back in the -20s again....What do you think?

...And why I believe Obama would be removed from office for health reasons precisely so his eligibility would become a moot point. If it happens it will likely happen quickly.

smart money is on this dual outcome: BO resigns OR doesn't "seek re-election".

The slip up I believe during the swearing in process was somewhat deliberate, and the second ceremony was just for show, the bible isn’t required and Obama knows that, swearing with his hand on a bible would be akin to a vampire washing his hands in Holy Water.

People have to remember that Obama was heavily tutored by his Manchurian advisers in constitutional law, they know almost every loophole and vague meaning of the Constitution.

Gotta love Dr. Keyes! And he is SO RIGHT about what these people are doing.

For too long we have been asleep-at-the-wheel of our Republic.

Benjamin Franklin said the Founders had given us a Republic with a cautionary disclaimer... "if you can keep it."

"Keeping it" in this world filled with subversive enemies will unfortunately require us to be on the watch constantly. Otherwise, we will lose our Republic with its Liberties, Freedoms, and Justice for All, and simply melt away to become another Marxist European style country where words like "values" and "honesty" are considered profane and archaic.

Sadly, we can no longer afford to simply live our lives and trust things are going well or our Republic will slip away.

One of the worst things about this? For many years, those who yearn for Freedom throughout the world, suffering in dictatorships and/or rogue Marxist states, could always count on one country to help them, the United States of America. On the day we lose this Republic, that help will no longer be available. We will be the ones needing the help, and there will be nobody there to help us.
