As the Democrats attempt to blame former President George W. Bush for all the ills of the current economy, it is worthwhile to remember that the collapse of the housing market due to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans that should have never been approved was the driving force behind the economic collapse of 2008. President Bush, along with other Republicans like John McCain had tried to move legislation to deal with the loans being given to people who simply could not afford to buy a house.
But Democrats led by Barney Frank insisted on their social engineering policy that everyone deserves to own a home. This video shows Frank dismissing concerns that a housing bubble was being created by their policy, and he comes right out and says we would not see a collapse of the housing market.

This is the ONLY good thing McLame tried to do- he called this one 5 years ago... and he was right, but he was too lame to do anything about it.
GOP needs this in the Media every night, not just on the Internet.
If they only had a spine.
McLame has been heavily financed by the big costruction industry players using illegals.
He was beholden to this mess, and keeping it viable has been a big part of the McAmnesty push.
I will give him his due where he is critisized unfairly, but at best he played both sides of the fence here...with a lot more weight towards keeping the bubble inflating.
ahh, good old Barney (more links at bottom of thread)

Repubs should run videos of Bwaney 24/7.
Vids of Bwaney at townhalls, sneering at his constituents opposed to h/care, and defending his stupidity WRT the housing debacle will reverberate across the land----and effectively kill the reelection chances of all Dims.

Yep! Something the GOP should have done in 2006 and even more so, in 2008, after 2 years of Congressional disaster and "9% Congress" approval - tying all the "conservative," faux "Blue Dog" Democrats in conservative districts and states to Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid...
Maybe they are a little smarter this time (some Tea Party blood is coming in the GOP primaries) and will do it (variation of the poster in #12), or maybe they hope they can just coast to a small victory in November.
