Why people post utterly useless tiny excerpts is also an important question. :)
1) Not all hurt is bad. Sometimes it is the only way to cut through the miasma of confusion that keeps people from personal growth.
2) Having postulated #1 above, causing suffering in others is a result of a confused mind and heart. It is not necessarily a result of intrinsic evil.Evil happens when there is no hope of any possibility for improvement in that confusion, and destruction of such evil may be necessary so that others may live in peace. This is known as rudra.
3) What is the method of overcoming such confusion? There are many, but the proven method is meditation practise, shalled Shamatha ( Sanskrit), or Shinay ( Tibetan), known in English as resting the mind in peace, or peaceful abiding. Thus way is open to all, no change in ones”religion “ is necessary. Its just a simple way of overcoming confusion and touching basic human dignity and goodness.
It is only in this way that the hurting of others can diminish effectively. Other ways are far less effective, and take much more time and too much thinking.
How can one receive such intruction? Its easy , simple, and very powerful. It is a path which is ancient in the tradition of genuine warriorship, little known in the West, and a powerful force for goodness in our world.

If it works for an idiot like me, it can work for any human being.
