The political resiliency of the climate eight has convinced some observers that the next Congress might even offer a kinder landscape for passing climate legislation. If Castle and Kirk ascend to the Senate, the chamber might have more moderate Republicans willing to join Democrats on cap and trade, says Rob Sisson, president of Republicans for Environmental Protection.

Agree 100%. We need to take responsibility for what our congress does. We need to figure out all the things that we are doing wrong and all the things we aren’t doing that we need to do right. Then we need to change.
Needs a donation link for O’Donnell. I’ll find her and donate now.
Excellent! Here’s her link: http://www.christineodonnell.com/
With Kirk and Castle, there may be more Reps looking to deal on Cap and Trade, but not more total. They are replacing Cap and Trade Dems, so really, it will just be the same beliefs in a different tie.
Send you're money here first....If u really want to make a difference............
Just sent her a donation. Thanks for the reminder.
Sometimes you can’t win in liberal states, take Oregon...please.
Pray for America
If we get the house back the senate is mute.
I have said .. and continue to say .. It is a Damn shame that the one with the most money wins!
What the hell is the difference between Buying an election or just down-right stealing one?
Obama spent almost a “Billion” dollars.
AND .. Usually, the one with the most money is the biggest crook!
Many on FR insisted we support and vote for the RINOs to keep control of Congress and Senate. This was after the RINOs blocked conservative legislation while the Republicans held both houses. Getting back stabbed is old and tiresome.
These same FReepers insisted that we support McLame early on because “the MSM really, really likes him! They call him ‘Maverick!’”
I’m guessing they’ll want to dig up Ted Kennedy’s corpse and run him as a compassionate conservative in 2012 Presidential race. Afterall, “he’ll have a chance of winning, and the MSM likes him!”
Mark the vichy republicans well.
“Obama spent almost a Billion dollars.”
No. Obambie’s Marxist puppet masters spent almost a billion.
Chump change for Soros.
Thanks. Prayer 1st and donation sent.
Really not a donation but an investment into the future of our country.
Except they are susceptible to pressure from pubbie leadership. That could hopefully make a difference.
The last thing this country needs is “more moderate Republicans”!
Castle has a large and growing contingent of registered Republicans here in Delaware who are against his Senate bid. Many of us don’t expect O’Donnell to win the primary and aren’t on the radar as her supporters. We’ll vote for her against Castle and then vote 3rd party in November. If that means the Democrat wins, so what? We weren’t getting anything better anyway. I’d rather burn my money keeping the House seat in Republican hands with either of the two people now running in the primaries.
I take a lot of comfort in your post (the “growing contingency” aspect...not so much the third party...though I’m with you overall). If we were to gain Castle in the Senate, we’d gain few if any conservative votes from him over the next six years. But if he were to lose the primaries, we’d gain quite a few conservative votes in both the Senate and the House from borderline RINOs who wanted to escape his fate. I did some research a while back, culling the most important votes as deemed by the ACU, and as far back as I went, Castle voted the wrong way on almost every vote—about 95% of them. And again, these were the most important votes, the watershed issues that should be non-negotiable.
To win takes more than money also. Freepers and conservative Tea Parties have to get out and work for the right candidates. I believe that boots on the ground, and fingers on the phone dial are worth a lot of $$$$. Put up signs, talk to people; convince them that the country is going down the tubes if we don’t get the radicals out of Washington.
