CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. -- A Riverdale man said he felt mistreated after an officer shot and killed his dog in response to a false alarm Friday.
Its not right. Its just not right for Clayton County police officers to do that, Stacy Clark told Channel 2s Rebecca Lindstrom.
Police officers said they thought there was a holdup at the house. When they arrived, Clarks dog, Jadore, came running out and one officer didnt have enough time to grab his pepper spray, police said. He reached for his weapon instead, police said.
Clark said Officers asked everyone in the house to step outside, and three of them were ordered to the ground and handcuffed. Police removed the handcuffs after verifying their identities.
Thats when Clark noticed Jadore wasnt moving, he said.
When Clark asked what happened, he said he was told, I shot it. Just point blank, I shot it.

The cop or the dog?
Yes I do think the state of law enforcement is in a huge grave yard spiral of a decline.
Just have a look for your self at some of the news stories.

We're heading towards Argentina. Might as well have their police forces.

So the pepper spray, which is likely on hid belt right next to his sidearm, was just too inconvenient to grab?
Both my brothers and my father-in-law are LEO's. While I have not seen any empirical data about the decline in quality of recruits, I have sure heard a lot of anecdotal evidence to support it.
Strange. Why didn’t he HEAR the “cop” shoot the dog?
Crap like this may be the reason some people do not call the police.
Another notch on the bedpost for the cops! High five!
Stacy, we can’t publish your last posts - they have personal contact information in them and that can be very dangerous. FR is seen by a lot of people, not all of them friendly. Please be careful.
In Clayton Co. the odds are high in that favor.
Plus the rest of the article explains that the cops were responding at 4:00 AM because an alarm company called them and said the panic button had been activated.
