Why even bother going to the movies?
We need a new team of funny men—Abbott and Costello, Hope and Crosby, The Marx Bothers, Heck I would settle for Martin and Lewis.
Will Ferrell is a no-talent loser. His movies all suck. I’m sure this one will be as successful as “Land of the Lost.”
The leading man from the clunkers “Bewitched”, “Land of the Lost” gets yet another leading role.
“She who must be obeyed” and I were considering going to this movie this weekend. Tnx for the warning.
We’ll do something else.
It appears that the only talent left in Hollywood is Pixar.
Ferrell is a sicko.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
I see no reason to change my decision to never see that stupid Will Ferrell in a movie again.
And not just because of politics.
Who is will farrell, and why should I care what he has to say about anything? I think I’ll save the $25.

This movie will bomb miserably. I did love Kicking and Screaming.
Thanks for the reminder. Will avoid it.
Never mind the political leanings, there are funnier guys acting today than Will Ferrell. I loved his Ron Burgundy character and the “More Cowbell” skit, but he’s done.
It amazes me that movie makers would rather insult Republicans than get their money. What, is our money not as good as Democrats’? Is it our breath? Why don’t they want us at their movies?
I just came back from watching the movie with my son. We had a bunch of laughs over some of the scenes in the movie. A lot of the movie seemed contrived, but that may be part of the context. I actually had to read the article to be reminded about the brief insert about a picture of the movie antagonist with former President Bush, because it was over very quickly.
Mind you, we’d just driven from NYS to North Carolina on our way to South Carolina, in a car with no AC, and through the usual BS traffic in northern Virginia (when will they ever fix that?)so I must say, I was beat and didn’t pick up on any anti Bush political overtones at all....
Oh well, my focus was on the Mark Wahlberg comedy dynamic, which was, in my opinion, not bad for the first time out.
Scene stealer: Michael Keaton. FWIW, he made the movie. Of course, Eva Mendes wasn’t hard on the eyes either....
I notice now, that the article does not mention the data picture about the Stimulus / TARP money that gets shown in the credits that paints a pretty UN-Rosy picture about the current administration, which is way more damning than that 1 second picture of former President Bush.
And those credits and the show and tell about the funds the current administration have spent lasted for minutes. That was WAY more disgusting to me and totally took away the laughs I had during the movie.
As a matter of fact, based on what I saw, I would not be surprised to see Robert Gibbs have to issue a rejoinder in some future press conference rebutting that info....
After viewing some of Farrell’s work, I’d say the next funny thing he does will be his first.
Ferrell is a tool.
