Ethics
The Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) lists Deal as one of the 15 most corrupt members of Congress, for trying to influence officials for personal gain.[5] According to the The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Deal "personally intervened with Georgia leaders to preserve an obscure state program that earns his company nearly $300,000 a year." The state funded DOR salvage inspection program is paid for with $1.7 million taxpayer dollars annually. This program makes use of two salvaged vehicle storage facilities (one in Gainesville and one in Hazelhurst) in which Deal is part owner. The state pays a $100 fee to Deal's businesses per car inspected at their site, this fee is the highest in the state.[6]
[edit]Office of Congressional Ethics report
Nathan Deal exceeded congressional limits on outside income and used his U.S. House office and staff to protect money coming from a no-bid state business deal.[7] On March 29, 2010, the Office of Congressional Ethics released a report concluding that Mr. Deal improperly used his office staff to pressure Georgia officials to continue the state vehicle inspection program that generated hundreds of thousands of dollars a year for his familys auto salvage business.[8]
You really, really need to consider the sources. I live in Georgia and in Nathan Deal’s former district.
The Atlanta Urinal and Constipation employs Cynthia Tucker. The nutball Cynthia McKinney has been a frequest guest editorialist. I wouldn’t take that paper if they paid me.
As for CREW:
Melanie Sloan serves as CREW’s Executive Director. Prior to starting CREW in 2003, she served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the District of Columbia, after having worked for Congressional Democrats John Conyers, Charles Schumer, and Joseph Biden.[7] She currently serves on the legal team of Valerie Plame.[8]
As for the “Office of Congressional Ethics,” well, if there has ever been an oxymoron, that’s it.
As far as I’m concerned condemnation by the likes of the Urinal and Constipation, and CREW are resume ENHANCERS for Deal. Deal has been good conservative for his entire career. They hate him for it.
Any questions?
CREW is not an objective source! Its staff is a collection of leftists with union, nonprofit, advocacy and Congressional staff (Dem, of course) backgrounds. CREW leadership bios are here:

This is a left-wing smear of Nathan Deal, who has represented Georgia's most Conservative district since 1993, and has one of the most Conservative voting records (100% ACU; 97% ACU Lifetime) of anyone.
My Congressman is Lynn Westmoreland, a great Conservative and a close friend and supporter of Nathan Deal -- and someone I have known for many years. Here is what Lynn's wife, Joan Westmoreland, has to say about Karen Handel's trashing of Nathan Deal:
"Although I appreciate the enthusiasm for conservative ideas that Sarah Palin has been spreading across this country, I think shes made a mistake here.
"Alaska is a far cry from Georgia and Im pretty sure Ms. Palin cant smell our peaches from her front porch. This is not just about who wears lipstick, its about who will govern this state with integrity and conviction.
"Sarah Palin doesnt even know Nathan Deal, but my husband Lynn and I do!!! He is a kind, honest and generous Christian man. Like my husband Lynn, he was one of the most dependable votes in the House of Representatives for our conservative values. He is a staunch defender of the sanctity of life, and hes endorsed by Georgia Right to Life.
"I am appalled that Karen Handel would smear the name of a man who has served his nation and his state honorably for his entire life, and that is why I had to speak out today. I care about conservative values and I care about this great state, and I know that Nathan Deal is the only choice to lead the State if Georgia."
You use the Soros organization CREW as a source?????
