Naw...I’ve had enough. I am really struggling and have been for quite some time. I sit here tonight at 48 years old eating Ramen noodles for dinner. I am old school and too proud to go for a government handout. These days...no way in HE-double toothpicks.
And they want to raise my utility bills, my property taxes, my income taxes, and afford health care? Forget about it ...the only health care insurance I carry is now illegal!!! Yes, I said it. MY health insurance is now illegal.
I am working 40hours a week at a job that doesn’t pay but a $1 over minimum wage, no benefits, no paid vacation, no paid sick time. I move close to 1000 lbs or more of freakin’ birdseed a day. It is all manual labor. I am talkin’ no forklifts, no dollies. It is physical pick and lift. Plus take care of customers, shipping, and receiving. I am busting my butt.
In the meantime I am trying to get my small micro-enterprise off the ground. I am busting my butt.
And I ain’t making anything. Used to be to work hard and do a good job...my God those days are gone.
I feel for you am the same age.When I was in your situation I was eating off of credit cards. So I know this 7K a night luxuary room makes you spit nails!
