It is becoming more clear to me everyday that Marco Rubio does not have what it takes to win broad support from grass roots conservatives.. He is completely ignoring 2 other candidates in the Republican Primary. One of whom I am publicly supporting.
But this thread is not so much about Dr. Escoffery as it is about Marco Rubio himself... there are way too many "issues" with Marco Rubio, not the least of which is the fact that he is completely avoiding any contact/debate with the 2 other candidates in the GOP Primary, and we (as the FL-GOP) are letting him get away with it...... Marco Rubio is acting as if the primary is already over and the majority of conservatives are letting him get away with it.. is this what our party has been reduced to. We have just over 2 weeks before we must decide who we want to put up against Charlie Crist... Are we going to pick the "RNC FAVORITE" like we did John McCain in '08? Just to him lose.. or are we going to choose a REAL conservative who we can support without holding our nose, closing our eyes, and pulling lever?
Well, if that’s true, can’t be any worse that Crist... Will wait and see but doubt it for now. There are always those putting down other candidates for their own purposes...
Precisely why I am NOT putting down Marco Rubio... all I am saying is that this is the PRIMARY.. we should be supporting the BEST candidate in the PRIMARY.. and that IMHO Dr. Escoffery is a FAR better candidate than Marco Rubio.. that is NOT an attack on Marco Rubio...
J Edgar,
I am backing Rubio BUT I do have reservations as a year ago he was pro amnesty.
Changed his tune when he became viable.
Can you hit a crank caller who is 3,000 miles away?
absolutely! Are you Dale? I LOVE crank callers who are too scared to give their real name and tell me where they are but yet feel they are entitled to my time....
Just give up. /sarcasm
Once the prohibition against racial profiling was added to SB1070 Rubio said he supported it. I think that’s fine and understandable.
As far as having the endorsement of the Bush family - well, Rubio can’t really control who endorses him. Besides, Jeb came out in support of Rubio ONLY after Crist dumped the Republican party and became an independent.
Crist was the RINO favored by the national party. Rubio is the grassroots conservative.
I see we’ve assembled the circular firing squad down in FL, apparently with some help from the trolls. 0, Rahmbo, Carville and Company must be laughing their @$$es off.
lol.. Got a call from a gentleman who said his name was Mr. Dale Block, would not give me his date of birth so that I can check to see if he has any outstanding warrants for his arrest... LOL a reasonable request since he wanted to take up my personal time and have a lengthy conversation, which I am willing to do, but I don’t have long one on one personal conversations which “annonymous” individuals.. so if Mr. Dale Block will kindly call me back with that information I will be happy to discuss the matter further.. LOL I did find a Dale Block on facebook ... I sent you a friend request if that is in fact the Dale Block I was just speaking with.
LOL... relax this is how a PRIMARY is supposed to be... we should be supporting the BEST candidate in the PRIMARY, and IMHO that is Dr. Escoffery if you think Rubio is the best candidate than go ahead and vote for him... I can’t in good conscience vote for Rubio in the PRIMARY, when I am convinced there is a better choice... If Rubio continues to ignore his competition in the PRIMARY that speaks volumes of how WE will be treated if we elect him to the U.S. Senate.. anyone ever thought about that?
(Or are you taking exception to the comment the troll who hasn't showed up on this thread yet? )
Some people say Rubio's for illegal immigration because they are apparently making way too much of one comment he made regarding Arizona's new law when the ink was still wet on the document and when the media was still misreporting what it said. One can disagree with or have doubts about that law and still not be "for" illegal immigration or "for" Mexican interests over, say, US interests. Some politicians may be against such a state law because they need the backing of big farmers and members of various chambers of commerce who want to hire illegal labor because legal labor has been made too expensive by other politicians before them. Others may be against it [or for it] because their polling data tells them to. Others may have reacted to it based on what the press reported and have since changed their minds. And there may be some who think it is not needed since if the Feds enforced their own laws it would be redundant.
Now, if Rubio's made more than one comment people don't like against the AZ law [or "for Mexico"] I just haven't seen them. As near as I can tell that one early comment of his seems to be the only thing they are basing their dislike of him on and it in no way implies he thinks that way because he wants to serve Mexico. Freepers aren't as reliable as they were in the past about including sourced material in their rants, even when they have it, so it isn't easy to see what exactly has set them off against a person when they don't cite sources.
Folks are also busy BASHING one another's candidates they neglect to SUPPORT their own favorites. The negativity in this primary season is not just annoying, it's going to come back to bite us.
what “negativity” are you suggesting? I have not bashed Marco Rubio at all... Are you suggesting that stating that another candidate in the PRIMARY is MORE qualified is bashing. Marco Rubio is acting as if this primary is already over and there is ove 2 weeks left in this campaign... he is coasting and ignoring the other candidates in the Republican Primary.. what arrogance IMHO.. If he would be willing to debate Dr. Escoffery I would probably have a much higher opinion of him even if I disagree with him... letting him get by without even a debate tells is even worse.. and everyone defending him who thinks that is ok is wrong ! IMHO..
Why did ya wait to share such or did I just miss your prior posts on the real conservative you suggest.
I have family in FL that I will share this with yet me thinks you sat on this better than guy too long
Stay Safe....
“He is backed by the Bush family...”
Come now!
So were Colin Powell and Karl Rove!
. . .
never mind . . .
BTTT
good point my FRiend.. good point indeed.
From wikipedia:
Role in presidential election of 2008
Powell donated the maximum amount to John McCain’s campaign in the summer of 2007[56] and in early 2008, his name was listed as a possible running mate for Republican nominee McCain’s bid during the 2008 U.S. presidential election.[57] However, on October 19, 2008, Powell announced his endorsement of Barack Obama during a Meet the Press interview, citing “his ability to inspire, because of the inclusive nature of his campaign, because he is reaching out all across America, because of who he is and his rhetorical abilities,” in addition to his “style and substance.” He additionally referred to Obama as a “transformational figure”.[58][59] Powell further questioned McCain’s judgment in appointing Sarah Palin as the vice presidential candidate, stating that despite the fact that she is admired, “now that we have had a chance to watch her for some seven weeks, I don’t believe she’s ready to be president of the United States, which is the job of the vice president.” He pointed out how he thought Obama’s choice for vice-president, Joe Biden, was ready to be president. He also added that he was “troubled” by the “false intimations that Obama was Muslim.” Powell stated that “[Obama] is a Christian he’s always been a Christian... But the really right answer is, what if he is? Is there something wrong with being a Muslim in this country? The answer’s no, that’s not America.” Powell then referenced Kareem Rashad Sultan Khan, a Muslim American soldier in the U.S. Army who served and died in the Iraq War. He later stated, “Over the last seven weeks, the approach of the Republican Party has become narrower and narrower [...] I look at these kind of approaches to the campaign, and they trouble me.”[58][59] Powell concluded his Sunday morning talk show comments, “It isn’t easy for me to disappoint Sen. McCain in the way that I have this morning, and I regret that [...] I think we need a transformational figure. I think we need a president who is a generational change and that’s why I’m supporting Barack Obama, not out of any lack of respect or admiration for Sen. John McCain.”[60] Later in a December 12, 2008, CNN interview with Fareed Zakaria, Powell reiterated his belief that during the last few months of the campaign, Palin pushed the Republican party further to the right and had a polarizing impact on it.[61]
“...[G]et behind Dr. William Escoffery, who is a seasoned Conservative CITIZEN - Conservative Doctor - AND a Conservative Constituional Attorney.”
Free information - such as the internet PRESENTLY provides, does more to disarm polical machines and machine hacks than anything in our prior history. Moreso even than the printing press.
This is the first I have ever heard of your candidate - Dr. William Escoffery. I know nothing about him. What are his deeds, to merit the claims of conservative citizen, doctor, and attorney? I am not disputing your claims, but I do want to see your calculations, not just the sum.
TIA
I have not met him in person yet because I am still at Fort Knox on military duty for another week or so.. but I have had multiple phone conversations with him and the more I get to know him the more convinced I am tha he is rock solid. His website was really bad before last weekend.. still needs some work, but the basic information is there.
Some Rubio folks (I assume) have appealed to Wikipedia to have Dr. Escoffery’s profile removed from Wiki because he is not worthy ...
