Marco Rubio WILL lose to Charlie Crist if we allow him to win the GOP PRIMARY !
05 August 2010 | David Osborne

Posted on 08/05/2010 12:03:08 AM PDT by davidosborne

It is becoming more clear to me everyday that Marco Rubio does not have what it takes to win broad support from grass roots conservatives.. He is completely ignoring 2 other candidates in the Republican Primary. One of whom I am publicly supporting.

Dr. William Escoffery

But this thread is not so much about Dr. Escoffery as it is about Marco Rubio himself... there are way too many "issues" with Marco Rubio, not the least of which is the fact that he is completely avoiding any contact/debate with the 2 other candidates in the GOP Primary, and we (as the FL-GOP) are letting him get away with it...... Marco Rubio is acting as if the primary is already over and the majority of conservatives are letting him get away with it.. is this what our party has been reduced to. We have just over 2 weeks before we must decide who we want to put up against Charlie Crist... Are we going to pick the "RNC FAVORITE" like we did John McCain in '08? Just to him lose.. or are we going to choose a REAL conservative who we can support without holding our nose, closing our eyes, and pulling lever?

And just who cares if he is “not for Mexico”? I sure hope not, he is after running in the United States, NOT Mexico. Just what the hell are you talking about anyway?

Nothing to forgive you for! I just want you to get your telephone number off the thread - for your own protection.

Oh, I did meet Dr. Escoffery and he told me to tell you he thought you knew he was just kidding about the Senator thing but he might be interested in being Governor or maybe an Astronaut and if you could get Sara’s phone number there would be a little extra in your check this week.

I wasn’t replying to you. Why don’t you look at the post I was replying to and figure it out before getting yourself all flustered?

Are you suggesting Escoffery has any hope of beating Crist in the general election, were he to win the GOP primary?

I think the critics who say that Crist will defeat himself may end up being correct.. if that is true than we have a chance to put a SEASONED CONSERVATIVE in that seat, not a young GOP-RINO who will just give us more of the same, who really doesn’t have a firm grasp on CONSERVATIVE values, and a strong Christian/Conservative world view.

I think Charlie Crist will get a LOT of votes from the “older crowd” if he is up against Rubio but NOT up against Dr. Escoffery — in Florida we have a lot of them :) oh and also Dr. Escoffery IS a Naturalized U.S. Citizen who will be VERY STRONG on LEGAL IMMIGRATION because he LIVES IT !! He is also VERY PRO-LIFE because he LIVES IT ! and the list goes on and on..

We will have to agree to disagree about Rubio’s stance of amnesty. I am no troll but I am not party-drunk self delusional, either.

It was real clear from conservatives I know in Florida (I have a lot of family there) that Crist was going no where fast. Then Rubio came along and everyone was releived and then he suddenly showed his hand with the attack on Arizona. Shot his wad with that one.

MOST DEFINATELY... Look at his BIO and YOU decide... that is what it will come down to AFTER THE PRIMARY... All the AMMO Crist has is against Marco Rubio.... HOWEVER, Crist will be blown out of the water in a Debate with Dr. Escoffery. The CHRISTIAN/CONSERVATIVES will come out of the woodworks to vote for Dr. Escoffery in November..... Furthermore, Dr. Escoffery is SOOO conservative that the LEFT will cling to Kendrick Meek because they would be scared to death of Dr. Escoffery getting elected..... wheras Charlie Crist is paletable to the left..... the moderates will move toward Dr. Escoffery because when it comes down to a choice between a solid LIBERAL and a solid CONSERVATIVE moderates will chose the solid CONSERVATIVE.... Crist will be NEUTRALIZED.. if we put Rubio in there Crist will take it because he has too much ammo on Rubio, and the Christian/Conservatives will not be energized enough to hold their nose and vote for him after the beating he will take...

ha ha... some line we ALL heard when we were TOLD to line up and vote for McCain in '08 because he has "name recognition" and is "electable" my how things would be different if we elected Duncan Hunter in '08

having said that... in response to your inquiry.

Dr. William Escoffery

What you mean is that he stood up for Arizona citizens don’t you? After all, it does seem to be US citizens against Open Borders.

not at all.. Rubio is PRO Illegal Immigration ! he might try to score some points by saying that fighting illegal immigration is ok in AZ but no way.. not in florida... he is in lock step with the RINOs who don’t want ALL the States to enforce immigration laws since the feds are doing such a fine job /sarcasm

Well, that is a mark against him, but compared to all the others, he is still the stand-out candidate.

So after Rubio wins the primary do you plan to vote for him in the general ?

In MY opinion is should. It realistically doesn’t have anything to do with activism or politics. I have family in Shalimar who have never heard of Escoffery (the III). I have a cousin down there who would stand a better chance of being elected.

you aint heard nothing yet... wait until AFTER the primary when all the DIRT comes out... Then you will say I told you so.... I am not going to be the one to post any “dirt” because that will make me look like the bad guy.. but trust me.. mark my words it will start flying if Marco Rubio gets the not on 24 August
