It is becoming more clear to me everyday that Marco Rubio does not have what it takes to win broad support from grass roots conservatives.. He is completely ignoring 2 other candidates in the Republican Primary. One of whom I am publicly supporting.
But this thread is not so much about Dr. Escoffery as it is about Marco Rubio himself... there are way too many "issues" with Marco Rubio, not the least of which is the fact that he is completely avoiding any contact/debate with the 2 other candidates in the GOP Primary, and we (as the FL-GOP) are letting him get away with it...... Marco Rubio is acting as if the primary is already over and the majority of conservatives are letting him get away with it.. is this what our party has been reduced to. We have just over 2 weeks before we must decide who we want to put up against Charlie Crist... Are we going to pick the "RNC FAVORITE" like we did John McCain in '08? Just to him lose.. or are we going to choose a REAL conservative who we can support without holding our nose, closing our eyes, and pulling lever?

Ok I will bite - who is the BEST conservative in the Primary and why?
Start by defining “BEST” and why this defined attribute ‘best’ applies.
I thought that Marco had the broadest support among conservatives. He certainly seems to have a good organization based upon the endless emails I receive.
Wait until after the PRIMARY and you will see him get destroyed in the GENERAL election..... He is young, and needs some more LIFE experience before going to the U.S. Senate, Let's assume that he makes it to the U.S. Senate, which is not going to happen anyway.... I am very concerned that the "RINO machine" that got him elected will control him.... and we have gained NOTHING for the conservative cause.... but the real truth is he will not be elected anyway.. The fact that he will not even face his oponents in the PRIMARY speaks volumes ! Look at Dr. Escoffery's LIFE and tell me if you think there is even a remote possibility that he will be "controlled" if we send him the Senate... NO WAY ! Why? Because he has LIVED the Conservative AMERICAN DREAM ! Dr. Escoffery does not "need" the job in Washington D.C. he is WILLING to go, if we the people of Florida will send him.. and I think we should.
So you are saying Marco has been the RINO candidate from the get go!

I think many here at FP where under the impression that Marco was a legit conservative. I need to review past year of posts claiming Marco was the conservative candidate.
Have we been snookered with Marco, or are we being snookered now? That is the question.

the snookering will come AFTER the primary when Charlie Crist destroys Marco Rubio if we give Rubio the nod on 24 August 2010..... the only CHANCE that Marco has to win the seat is if the sheeple Republicans turn out in November and vote for the one who is LEAST WORSE. and in the end many will go for the “older/more experienced” Charlie Crist.... at which time I will repost my comments on FR and say I TOLD YOU SO ! — Which is the main reason I am saying we need to get behind Dr. William Escoffery, who is a seasoned Conservative CITIZEN - Conservative Doctor - AND a Conservative Constituional Attorney — any wonder Marco Rubio is scared to face him in a real debate?
Rubio is a good represenative of Mexico...I know that. I call him Rubio (R Mexico) for short. :) He came out against Arizona for daring to enforce immigration laws right away. The speeches I have heard are fluff and not impressive to me. He had some kind of scandle around using GOP money or something like that for hair cuts or manicures. You need to look into that.
He is backed by the Bush family and came along when it was clear conservatives were going to sink Crist.
That is all I know.
Marco is a great candidate - Crist is a con! Now why should that matter to voters?

using YOUR logic.. IF Crist is going to be self-defeated would it not make sense to put a REAL conservative up against him so we can really move the conservative cause forward..
We already had the conservative primary and Marco beat our sitting Governor, who was very popular at the time. If we all hang together he will win in Nov. Did you even interview Dr. Escoffery and consider if he just might be a better choice than Marco Rubio in 2010? I am not saying that Marco Rubio does not have FUTURE potential.. he certainly does.. he just needs a bit more seasoning in my view.. some REAL LIFE seasoning !

So you think Rubio can’t win and your friend can? I live in Florida, you are short on time.
It wasn't clear conservatives were going to sink Crist until AFTER Rubio came along, and Rubio was responsible for Crist going down.
Rubio is not "for Mexico," in spite of that notable birther-hillary-puma troll who regularly posts hyperbole against the guy here.
