She writes that if we dont stop the Taliban, American and Dutch women will be subject to the horrors of the life of a Pashtun peasant maiden, possibly cooking dinner over an livestock dung fire, being forced to wear unfashionable clothes, etc.
As the Taliban succeed, their power across Afghanistan will spread; and with that, similar movements, inspired by their achievements, will gain strengthindeed, already are gaining strengthacross the region, in countries from Somalia to Iran, and onward to Holland and the U.S.A.
There will be women there, as well.
We must not abandon them.
It really is starting to look as though the biggest hawks in America today are feminists. This should alert men to the real dangers of feminists in power; when theyve had their way with their enemies abroad, I can imagine that theyd want the guns turned on us.
If anything, this shows the feminist claims that female rule would usher in an era of peace and mutual goodwill for the lies they are.

Maybe this was meant for code pink to read.
I think that feminists worldwide should declare war on the Taliban and decamp immediately for Afganistan to fight.
The horror of “being forced to wear unfashionable clothes”
?? The writer totally misses the point.
...the life of an Islamic woman. There isn't anything absurd about that.
I want to live in a Judeo/Christian country where the men know that before God, men and women are equal. I am thankful and enjoy my safety in America where honorable men protect women from Sharia Law.
I must confess I am charmed by the idea of world feminism taking up arms, literally, against the Taliban.
However, in criticizing Ms. Esman’s piece, the author at The Spearhead, seems to have missed the point that she is a Dutch woman (albeit living part of the time in NYC), who is chiding her leftish countrymen for abandoning their support of the war in Afghanistan in terms specifically designed to appeal to the sensibilities. A reminder of the barbarism toward woman of the Taliban, of all schools of Islamic jurisprudence in general, though of salifists most particularly, from time to time is a salutary, as, along with the treatment of religious minorities, it most sharply highlights why the West must resist the spead of Islam.
"We know that women in groups -- same office, same dormitory, same barracks -- eventually have synchronized menstrual cycles. We also know that there is this thing called PMS, and we know that it turns a woman into a hellion. We know that PMS has been used as a defense against a charge of murder. Here's my proposal: We have 52 battalions. We can prepare the nation so that we have on any given week of the year a combat-ready battalion of Amazons to go into battle. Imagine that you are Manuel Antonio Noriega. You are in the Papal Nuncio in Panama City. You feel safe. All of a sudden, you hear this bloodcurdling scream outside: 'I AM OUTRAGED!' And there is Sgt. Maj. Molly Yard leading a battalion of Amazons with PMS over the hill! That would be enough to scare the pants off anybody." - Rush Limbaugh
Agreed. If the purpose of the US military is to promote women’s rights all over the world, then there will be no end to it. How about if we deport all Muslims and bring our troops home to protect our own borders?
Holland and the rest of Europe would not have a Muslim problem if they had never let them into their countries in the first place. Also, Europeans stopped reproducing. Hard to hold onto your way of life when you commit societal suicide.
Even worse, American men are expected to defend women as they are moved ahead of us in line for college seats, jobs, promotions (regardless of their qualifications). Not likely, although they are removed enough from reality to think we really do just have to suck it up...
