Thought experiment: Based on the conduct of the Japanese military in WWII and its run-up (Nanking, Pearl Harbor, Bataan, general POW and nurse treatment, etc.), if the Japanese High Command had been in possession of their own A-bomb, how long do you think they would have hesitated before using it against U.S. military and civilian personnel?

Excellent question. First time I can recall it. They would have used it immediately. So would the Germans. It is war. This is why we try to be civilized and avoid war.
