The lovers met in April 2009 and when rumours circulated about the affair, Ibrahim was summoned to a meeting and forced to 'swear on the Koran' he had not been having an affair with Hafija.

Did you note that there wasn’t a word in the article condemning the concept of honour killings?

I would suggest that one notable difference for us here in the USA would be that in a similar circumstance, our ‘press’ would most likely cover up not only the ‘honor killing’ motive but their names and the religion involved as well. I do respect some parts of the UK media for that...on many occasions I’ve been able to discover ‘politically incorrect’ stuff about a wide variety of news items that have been covered up or omitted by the American ‘media’ when they’ve reported on the same story.
