I would suggest that one notable difference for us here in the USA would be that in a similar circumstance, our ‘press’ would most likely cover up not only the ‘honor killing’ motive but their names and the religion involved as well. I do respect some parts of the UK media for that...on many occasions I’ve been able to discover ‘politically incorrect’ stuff about a wide variety of news items that have been covered up or omitted by the American ‘media’ when they’ve reported on the same story.

That’s true, I used to live in Britain and I did notice that to get the truth, I had to read their news.
