AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and hes not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (thats Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! Americas anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to dothats host. Get ready to what you were born to dothats listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).
This guy is a freak.

Rush talking about the religious kook, Cizik. Let’s rehearse a previous post of mine from February 2008:
The Reverend Sir John Houghton, former head of the UK Meteorological Office, Publisher of Al Gores book on GW and Former Co-Chair of the IPCC:
Unless we announce disasters, no one will listen
Some call that, Lying for Jesus. I would agree.

Public radio interview with the Reverend Richard Cizik [a trained political scientist and vice president in Washington for the National Association of Evangelicals]
Key excerpt:
Ms. Tippett: You have become quite a spokesman for Evangelical Christian concern about the environment. And, you know, I wonder if thats something that surprises you. Is that something thats on your agenda, thats on the Evangelical Christian agenda that you would not have imagined there 25 years ago or even
Rev. Cizik: I would have never imagined it. I just would have to say I had a conversion.
Ms. Tippett: Well, tell me about that.
Rev. Cizik: Not just to Christ, you see, many, many years ago. But in 2002, I had a conversion to the science of climate change. ....
Ms. Tippett: Well, tell me about your conversion experience in 2002. ...
Rev. Cizik: First of all, I met great men of science who, like Sir John Houghton, knighted by the queen, the head of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, who came forward and said to me, You can believe in the science and be a faithful biblical Christian, and I am, he said. And so in a humble way, not arrogantly, admitting the questions that still exist, John Houghton and many others, for three days, walked some of us that were there in Oxford, England, through all the science, through our biblical teaching and responsibility, and all I can say is, in a John Wesley kind of fashion, my heart was warmed. My heart, you know, was changed...

This is going to be an issue which evangelicals are going to look at when they cast their ballots, Cizik said. .. But only Republican former Gov. Mike Huckabee of Arkansas otherwise considered among the more conservative candidates in the race has explicitly aligned himself with the creation care movement. .. From Gribbit: The conclusions of the IPCC Summary Report were determined before the study even began. The idea was to make it the Final Word on global climate change. The reason for making it the Final Word was that by using that terminology, they had hoped that the public would take their bait hook, line, and sinker and they could get the political changes that they want. Yes I said political changes. See more Gribbit Tidbits

The evolution of the scientific debate about anthropogenic climate change illustrates both the value of skepticism and the pitfalls of partisanship... Scientists ... reputation for impartiality is severely compromised by the shocking lack of political diversity among American academics, who suffer from the kind of group-think that develops in cloistered cultures. Until this profound and well documented intellectual homogeneity changes, scientists will be suspected of constituting a leftistthink-tank. On the left, an argument emerged urging fellow scientists to deliberately exaggerate their findings so as to galvanize an apathetic public... ~ Kerry Emmanuel - MIT

A face made for radio LoL!
Obviously not since I’m not a lib (I’m part of the generations of the so-called ‘tribe’ waayyy down the line) and no one stole anything from us. We still have the land we have always had so I guess the libs got it wrong AGAIN.
lol
Without NPR how many libs would be out of work?!

Was yelling at TV this weekend because Sarah Palin - did not go here; nor did Dana Perino, offer this as an honest rebuttal when Dem attacked her with - she 'could not deny that Obama inherited this economy' - as had Palin earlier. (And all Repubs will be, over and over until Nov/2010.)
Pathetic that even Karl Rove does not 'go here'; offering reminders as to when this downturn began.
God Almighty; can we get serious here and fight what we already know is their thematic for 'reelection' while they rewrite Republican history? We already lost one election over this; why, why cannot Repubs reroute the truth into what is authentic spin.
There is plenty to say. . .and we need to 'say it'; over and over and drop this crappola, that this disaster was Bush's fault; Bush's fault. . .Bush's. . .
(Oh yes. . .Dana agreed, it was; yes, Obama DID inherit this; but allowed, mercifully; that it was not Bush's fault alone i.e. reminded audience, that Obama was in Congress and voted (as the case may be). She reminded listeners that Bush inherited Clinton's recession and that is 'just the way it is' .
Of course, GW was blamed for it anyway; because he NEVER made a mantra of blaming others for Ameica's problems; not his Clinton inheritance. . .nor all that came after, he entered our White House.
I suspect some of this is correct in the Northern regions.
In the South it was likely Indian tribes from South America.
It is likely the continent was always a mix of tribes, but as the previous caller said it took AMERICA to make it a country and a “melting pot”
We need more like him.
