I’m liking Jim DeMint, Rick Santorum, and Chris Christie.....that’s about it. The ones being talked about all fall way short.
Romney, Pawlenty and Huckabee are squishy RINO frauds.
Palin is likeable and good on the issues for the most part - but alas also a lightweight.
Gingrich has too much baggage.
Am I missing anyone?
Hank
McDonald in VA is putting together a good track record.
Correction.... McDonnell. LOL
Demint would, certainly, be my choice but he’s not (I don’t know if this is the right word) “charismatic” enough. I like Sarah because she has her heart and mind in the right place. And, she’s from simple stock, like me. Who says that there’s any greater requirement than the will to do what’s right for this country? She’s certainly intelligent enough.
I don't pay it much mind, as the selection is not affected in the least by my thoughts and actions.
Darkhorses: Thune, Daniels
Chris Christie is a gun grabber. While he may be a fiscal conservative like most from his area of the nation he is a social RINO.
“Am I missing anyone?”
Yep, you’re missing the boat. Palin ain’t a lightweight! She and Jan Brewer are more vocal against the regime than the rest of the field combined. Most of the GOPers are bunkered like a bunch of wimps.
Santorum couldn’t get re-elected in his own state and endorsed the turncoat, so he is a real lightweight. Christie needs to clarify his 2nd amendment and immigration positions as well as deciding to be a serious candidate before he can begin to pass muster. Plus he is a heavyweight - maybe too heavy a heavyweight. Demint will have to de-ostrich if he wants to be considered a serious candidate.
A stopped clock is right twice a day as were your assessments of Gingpoor, Mith, Huckster, and Pawlenty.
I have heard Thune mentioned as a dark horse, but I don’t know if I trust him. Can’t say why, really, but he seems slick. Santorum, too, though.
