Never Heard Of Sam Wyly? Maybe You Know The Two George Bush Opponents Who He Helped Destroy

Despite being mega-wealthy, it's possible that plenty of folks have never heard of the Texas-based Wyly brothers, who were charged by the SEC with insider fraud yesterday.
So who are they?
Well in addition to being boardmembers of several companies, they're also big GOP boosters, and Sam in particular did A LOT for George W. Bush.
In 2000, he backed a shadowy group "Republicans for Clean Air" that pressed hard to defeat John McCain in the primary.
And in 2004.... well perhaps you remember the Swift Boat ads? Yep, Sam was a backer of that, too.

I wonder how the Soros’ Weddibg-rally is going. Has Marc Rich accumulated any more charges? The rich on both sides manipulate our government for their own ends and its trickle-down versus redistribution, and neither are fully compatible with democracy. I choose trickle-down, but I’d just as soon burn all the PAC-holes, which are really just a form of collectivism for the more affluent.
It’s Bush’s fault. Again.

So this Sam Wyly guy helped “destroy” McCain and Kerry? Sounds like a good man to me. Couldn’t happen to more deserving folks.
I DO wish he’d done a better job on McCain. Like good enough to make certain he could never run for office again...
