But the alliteration of the F’s is what makes the sub-title “sing.”

Fisrt anti-Palin post at #5. This ties a record previously set, but the snarkiness of the comment negates the position. Lack of original anti-Palin material and pedestrian posting. No points awarded.

It has to do with the graphics, the font, and the space allowed. And it’s not 3 letters, it is 5 letters because you have to count the spaces. The “the” probably would require a change of font to fit on the page and would throw the graphic compostition off. In any case, it does not sound “wrong” to anyone accustomed to news and headline style. The is frequently dropped in cases like this.

I agree 100% with....ME! And that is the ONLY person I will ever agree with 100%.
Heck I don't even agree 100% with me (in fact there are times when I suspect I'm out to get myself). But on the topic at hand Gov Palin does things, especially backing McCain, that PO a lot of people. But she is attacking the dems and making a difference. Huck and Romney are coasting. Not jumping on an issue until it is obvious which way it is going. And as for Newt, all i can say is Scozzafava. However bad Palins endorsement of McCain is, that was far worse.
During the civil war members of Lincoln's cabinet criticized General Grant. They recited a long list of his deficiencies to the president and asked him to remove Grant from command. Lincoln's response was "The man fights, I cannot spare him". Today we are in a battle for the very survival of the nation. Sarah Palin fights, we cannot spare her.

Doesn't have a preceding verb that disagrees with the noun.
“Reflections on Faith, Family and Flag” reduces to “Reflections on Flag” and that is not correct.
But as I already said, I defer to her EXPERT judgment. She has the ‘common touch’ and a gift for coining or turning a phrase with the English language that most politicians would sell their firstborn for.

One of the great quotes in American history.
Nicely done, in astutely, associating it with the battler, Sarah Palin. Good post.
Coincidentally, I’m currently reading Grant’s superb autobiography. Another intelligent, highly capable man dismissed as being stupid and ignorant by the effete, feckless, unaccomplished intelligentsia.

Grant’s autobiography is superb. His orders were always clear and concise and shows his command over the language.

Cool. I write a bit of historic fiction/novels also. Just for fun.
My general rule is “does it sound right?”
Sometimes you can read it and it ‘looks’ OK, but you read it aloud and it just doesn't sound right.

These "purists" would have done the same to Reagan as they do to Palin.
Funny, how none of their "perfect" candidates (when you can get them to choose one) never makes it very far politcally.

I think it’s a great cover: she looks relaxed, happy, confident and unbowed by the slings and arrows the media and liberals have been thrust at her. That expression is not far from Margaret Thatcher’s. This woman is an American success story and we should be proud of her. It really doesn’t matter what she chooses to do in the future; she’s a quintessential American.

That's exactly what I go by. I read my manuscripts outloud. I have a definite rhythm to my writing. I can hear it and tell it's not correct.
I write alternate history. Change one event in history and go from there.
I actually got published. Surprise! Surprise!
If I can get published, I bet you can do.

So this is interesting. The other side, be it Romney-Gingrich or Obama-Clinton knows that FR is ground zero for Palin support. So the attacks are immediate when any Palin thread is posted.
Me thinks someone is getting paid here, but WDIK?
To: Jack Black
When I see William Kristol supporting Palin, and being her briefer for VP I think two things. 1) Not again! and 2) I want a candidate who doesnt need a briefer.
In the 2008 race, Palin was #2 on the ticket. She had to follow the direction of the campaign. You can’t have a VP candidate opposing the position of the top of the ticket or refusing to be briefed.
All candidates have briefers and advisors. The whole concept of “Going Rogue” was about getting around the McCain advisors. As she mounts a run at the White House, you will see a candidate who takes charge of their own campaign.
As far as having a thought-out philosophy, she has stated her positions in many speeches, Facebook postings on various subjects, and in her book, but you will not see them on the news. They will just call her a radical ultra-conservative and talk about her family. What is Romney’s thought-out philosophy or Newt’s? Whatever they are seem less consistent than Palin’s.
There’s no need to jump on anyone’s bandwagon this early, but in Palin’s case, that bandwagon is already gaining speed.
