Illegal Immigrants May Have Infiltrated Military Intelligence Post, Arizona Sheriff Warns

A recent raid in Arizona is sparking fears nationwide that illegal immigrants may have infiltrated the nation's largest military intelligence-training center.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio says he has “deep concerns” that people in the country illegally have “managed to gain access onto an active U.S. military installation."

"This cause for concern goes well beyond the argument that people are only committing the crime of wanting to work in this country," he said at a press conference Tuesday.

Arpaio's detectives raided Phoenix-based cleaning company Valley View Building Services Tuesday in search of 25 employees suspected of identity theft and fraud. At least one of the suspects had worked at Fort Huachuca, an Army post 15 miles north of the U.S.-Mexico border that serves as the largest military intelligence-training center in the country.

Five women were detained, four were suspected of being in the country illegally; the fifth is a U.S. citizen with an outstanding warrant. Authorities are still searching for other illegal immigrants said to be working for the company – particularly any others that may be working at the Army post.

"See what happens when you just enforce the law"

The point of the law that Joe was supposedly enforcing was to go after the employers. That is why it is called the employer sanctions law. In reality, he wasn't enforcing the law.

So now the interim prosecutor has released the data. Arpaio has spent 3 years, 3 million dollars, and had one conviction.

And if you read the article, the employers in this case were using E-Verify and weren't guilty of breaking the law.

"...it came to light that he was working in the United States illegally, even though he presented a valid AZ drivers license and social security card."

Huh?

Judging by what has been happening lately along the border, I predict that Obama, the ACLU, and Calderon will sue our Military Post.

They will have thousands of protesters daring the military to ask them for their ID when they come inside the facility to rifle through the top secret files to sell to Al Qaeda.

*He’ll probably just sign the base over to the drug cartels. Does not want to risk ticking off the Mexicans.*

There will be signs warning Military personnel that it is dangerous to come onto the base and that it’s best for American citizens to stay out.

Any MP’s that try to stop the grug cartels from coming into the base will be sued.

Is there not a rule that if a foreign national is accused or a capital crime, that his/her foreign advocate be notified. Has not Mexico screamed that a person was given the death sentence without notifying the Mexican embassy of the arrest/trial etc. Since we can no longer find out the nationality of a criminal, do we no have to assume that all are Americans and no longer have to notify anyone. Seems like we can just fry them all with no problem. "Sure he claimed to be a Mexican but all folks are now Americans so that's why no one was notified, but you can have his body if you can document that he is yours".

I thought if they were held for any reason, and requested it, they had a right to contact with appropriate advocate.

Seems reasonable to assume that alone would clear up question of nationality.

THey found a contracotr here at JB Elmendorf-Richardson (out of SoCal and non-union) lowballed a contract. After a lot of complaints - a check showed fully 25% of his workers were illegals.

Unfortunatly, they were tipped off and got out of town. The FedGov has put the squeeze on the company - don’t know if the owner is in jail, but he should be!

BTW - cool about page.
