A recent raid in Arizona is sparking fears nationwide that illegal immigrants may have infiltrated the nation's largest military intelligence-training center.
Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio says he has deep concerns that people in the country illegally have managed to gain access onto an active U.S. military installation."
"This cause for concern goes well beyond the argument that people are only committing the crime of wanting to work in this country," he said at a press conference Tuesday.
Arpaio's detectives raided Phoenix-based cleaning company Valley View Building Services Tuesday in search of 25 employees suspected of identity theft and fraud. At least one of the suspects had worked at Fort Huachuca, an Army post 15 miles north of the U.S.-Mexico border that serves as the largest military intelligence-training center in the country.
Five women were detained, four were suspected of being in the country illegally; the fifth is a U.S. citizen with an outstanding warrant. Authorities are still searching for other illegal immigrants said to be working for the company particularly any others that may be working at the Army post.

Well........ Obama. What now?
See what happens when you just enforce the law? Of course the Feds will completely ignore this.
UH...I kinda think the White House has been infiltrated...but, that’s just me.
I think you may be right!
He’ll probably just sign the base over to the drug cartels. Does not want to risk ticking off the Mexicans.
Oy! - this is news?
The MPs catch large numbers of illegals there each year.
Fort Huachuca was establhed (almost) on the US Mexico border March 1877 for a reason - to secure the border. Used as a base to fight the Apache, and later (1917) to support Black Jack Pershing - who was busy chasing Mexicans in Mexico.
The post was unused from the port-war years to 1967, when the commo guys arrived. I think the area is quite lovely (in the winter) having camped many time on the Fort itself.
Thanks for the post.
Yikes!
According to Susan Bolton, they must be released and given their non-taxpaying job back. And those who arrested her must be arrested themselves and thrown into prison for protecting the USA
Sheriff Joe Arpaio just stating the obvious.
Nailed the 0bama administration again.
Oh how they must hate that man!
The illegal in question was barred from entry to Ft. Huachuca as far back as April of this year when it was discovered he was in the country illegally. The Sierra Vista Herald had an article on this yesterday or the day before that I have not seen posted.
I'll see if I can find the relevant info and add it to this...
“We did serve another search warrant on the residence of the owner and, going through the papers, we’re going to determine which work sites that the others may be working at,” he said.
Valley View Building Services owner Joel Votaw said his company goes to great lengths to comply with U.S. and Arizona immigration laws, including using E-Verify for all its employees, a system that allows businesses to determine if someone is legally allowed to work in the United States.
“We’ve done everything legally we could’ve possibly done Is there something legal that we’re not aware of as business owners that we should be checking? Because I don’t think that we can just fire people based on accusations or suspicions that they might be here illegally,” Votaw told MyFoxPhoenix.com.
Another sweep was scheduled for Thursday, the station reported.

PHOENIX — Maricopa County Sheriff’s detectives arrested five women after serving a search warrant at a business near 19th Street and the University of Phoenix.
“When we went in there one of the ladies was hiding her Mexican ID in her enchilada to try and conceal the identification,” Sheriff Joe Arpaio said.
Deputies said three of the women are suspected of identity theft and fraud. A fourth woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant, a fifth was turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement for being in the country illegally, deputies said.
Detectives executed the warrant at Valley View Building Services and said they were originally after 25 people in connection with identity theft and fraud.
“We completely support their decision to take those people away that have stolen identity, that have committed a crime. Absolutely they need to come and get those people,” business owner Joel Votaw said.
According to the sheriff’s office, a three-month investigation revealed the company had furnished at least one employee who was working on the Fort Huachuca military base in Sierra Vista and determined to be in the United States illegally.
Votaw told CBS 5, “The accusation that we knowingly put illegal people on base I find to be offensive.”
Votaw said not only did that employee produce what appeared to be a valid driver’s license, he said all of employees were verified through E-verify.
“I personally am not aware of something legally that we can do past E-verify, if there is something we can do past E-verify, I would love to know what it is,” Votaw said.

A warrant was served to the business Tuesday morning, and five women were arrested. Four of the women were arrested on suspicion of identity theft, and the fifth women, who is believed to be a U.S. citizen, was arrested on a warrant in connection with failing to appear on a traffic citation.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio said detectives are continuing to investigate the company, in efforts of locating up to 20 more people suspected of using false identification, who may be on other worksites. Owner of the business, Joel Votaw, said he didn’t know some of his workers were using under false identification.
“It absolutely needs to be taken care of,” Votaw said to Arpaio, as they discussed the search. Kenneth Johnson, owner of the property and building, said he has asked his tenants to confirm the legal status of their employees. Although he said he believes they have tried hard to do so, he said “it’s a major problem, and it’s not going to go away.”

FORT HUACHUCA Although the sheriff of Maricopa County expressed his concerns Tuesday an illegal immigrant was working on the post, the issue was handled May 11 by the Military Police, said Angela Moncur, fort public affairs officer.
The unnamed illegal immigrant was initially asked to be removed from the post by the Army Corps of Engineers project manager who oversees the Sundt Corp. contract in construction of Weinstein Village, Moncur said.
Thanks for the good words about my home. It’s really pretty now with the green-up at its height; although it’s really hot and muggy.
This guy was booted because of a sexual harrassment incident. When he tried to come back to work the next day, the gate guards realized his ID was fake.
That may be part of why ICE was investigating the folks who got him the job in the first place for ID fraud.
5 in custody after MCSO raid on Valley business, 1 worked at Army base
Arpaio said his detectives also served a search warrant the the home of the owner of Valley View Building Services Inc.
Tuesday morning’s workplace operation was the culmination of a three-month investigation.
According to the sheriff’s office, investigators determined that at least one employee who allegedly is in the country illegally was working at Fort Huachuca military base, which is located in Cochise County about 15 miles north of the Mexican border. Fort Huachuca housed the U.S. Army Intelligence Center and the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM)/9th Army Signal Command.
“One thing I want to find out is how many more illegals have been hired [to work at] Fort Huachuca,” Arpaio said. “That’s a high intelligence installation. I don’t think people should go on that installation to work if they’re in this country illegally.”
