Obama Tells Joy Behar and Liberal Media: Your job to be my 'attack dog'

Barack Obama told The View co-host Joy Behar that it was her job, and by inference that of her fellow liberals in the media, to be his "attack dog" to defend his presidency and counter the influence of conservatives in the media.

Behar, who also hosts her own primetime current events talk show on CNN's HLN channel, complained to Obama in an interview taped on Wednesday for broadcast today on ABC that he has lost control of the narrative of his presidency (via MediaBistro):

Behar: "You've really done a lot, I think. You've signed 200 plus laws since you're in office, financial reform has taken place, you've got health care, two women on the supreme court...and yet the right wing, through Fox News and other outlets, seem to be hijacking the narrative. where on your side is the narrative? Where is your attack dog to come out and tell the American people, listen, this is what we did?"

Obama: "Joy, that's your job."

Behar: "I do it! But I'm only one woman!"
