Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said Wednesday that the Senates energy bill is necessary for the environment and for national security, adding that the legislation will generate jobs and lower energy costs for consumers.
However, Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), ranking member of the Senate Energy and Public Works Committee, in a statement indicated that the Senates energy bill will eliminate jobs by making Obamas oil drilling moratorium permanent.
