Black pro-life leaders in Georgia today strongly opposed Governor Palins endorsement of gubernatorial candidate Karen Handel. It is with a heavy heart that we express our profound disappointment with Governor Sarah Palins endorsement of Planned Parenthoods benefactor, candidate Karen Handel, said Dr. Alveda King, (niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.) pro-life advocate and leader in the Black Pro-life Movement...

Yet another Pink(o) Elephant?
I think either she goofed or somebody on her staff goofed. She should have endorsed Eric Johnson (true conservative).
Unfortunately for Eric, he doesn’t have ovaries, or amnesty credentials like Mccain or Perry.
Maybe Sarah needs to get more selective in her endorsements and with more due diligence.
Governor Palin would never endorse a pro-abortionist.
“settled law” Fiorina
I expected to google her and prove you wrong.
But.... Handel IS pro-life:
***************
I believe that each and every unborn child has inherent dignity, that every abortion is a tragedy, and that government has a role, along with the faith community, in encouraging women to choose life in even the most difficult of circumstances.
And while I will not seek to prohibit abortions in the extremely rare cases of rape, incest, or where there is a real threat to the life of the mother, I will do everything in my power to encourage and promote alternatives to abortion in these tragic situations.
In this respect, I strongly support the noble work of crisis-pregnancy centers across the state and those who compassionately and lovingly counsel women on a daily basis.
Finally, I oppose embryonic stem cell research, which creates life solely for the purpose of destroying it. I do, however, strongly support adult stem cell research, which has produced numerous scientific achievements without terminating innocent lives in the process.
My opponents have recently recycled old attacks against me concerning Fulton Countys funding of some programs through Planned Parenthood. They are doing so without providing any context and continue to omit several key and important facts.
First, let me be clear, since I am pro-life, I do not support the mission of Planned Parenthood. During my time as Chairman of Fulton County, there were federal and state pass-through grants that were awarded to Planned Parenthood for breast and cervical cancer screening, as well as a Healthy Babies Initiative. The grant was authorized, regulated, administered and distributed through the State of Georgia.
Because of the criteria, regulations and parameters of the grant, Planned Parenthood was the only eligible vendor approved to meet the state criteria. Additionally, none of the services in any way involved abortions or abortion-related services.
In fact, state and federal law prohibits the use of taxpayer funds for abortions or abortion related services and I strongly support those laws. Since grants like these are from the state Ill eliminate them as your next Governor.

That headline that calls Handel “Pro-Choice” was written by CHRISTIAN News wire?
How much more dishonest can you get that calling an overtly prolife woman prochoice?
Governor Palin would never endorse a pro-abortionist.
We seem to be talking ideological purity here and not about any sort of real-world concerns like winning elections or any such...
Yeah; they may be Pro-Life, like many other Blacks, but I’d bet you a dollar to a donut they EVERY ONE vote for B. Hussein Obama.
Black Preachers & church members claim to be pro-life and anti-Same Sex Unions, but they vote Democrat 90 percent. Whassup wit dat?
DeVore 2012!
I have no dog in this fight. I know nothing about Karen Handel.
But I do know Dr. Alveda King is bona fide.
Until I see she is wrong, I believe her.
DeVore 2012!

Chuck who?????
Did I just read that a BLACK group opposes Palin??? What’s next... kill the crackers and their babies??
Oh my... be still my heart.
Agreed!
The blacks/democrats support Planned Parenthood—Margarete Sanger (FOUNDER of Planned Parenthood) called for the extermination of the black race as well as those considered mentally ill, for God’s sake!!!! THEY (the blacks) don’t KNOW this!!!! (this is why the billboard on a Georgia highway calling attention to the disproportionate infanticide (abortion) in the black population was met with anger!!!) Eventually, the billboard was taken down!!
Sarah Palin does her homework...she wouldn’t gamble her good name on this slander!
This is a political attack—”straight up”, as Garofalo (the RED) says!
Blacks don’t REALIZE they “support” their OWN extermination, because the liberal/democrat party keeps them uninformed....and on the plantation....and forever voting DEMOCRAT!
“... But I do know Dr. Alveda King is bona fide.
Until I see she is wrong, I believe her. ...”
I agree, but I know nothing about either candidate. I hope Palin has made a good choice, if not, then she should be called on it, pure and simple.
I have a lot of respect for Dr. Alveda King. She is not running for office, she just giving her honest assessment. IMHO.
Comments on skin color have no place in this discussion.
How are Mccain and Perry and Fiorina and Ayotte and Haley and Handel pragmatic.
