DALLAS TWP. Someones at it again.
A new group of signs against the re-election of U.S. Rep. Chris Carney has popped up along state Route 309 in the Back Mountain.
The latest version is more colorful and detailed than the previous one that said Dump Carney and pictured the congressmans name in a red circle with a line through it. This time the anonymous sign maker connected Carney to fellow Democrat Nancy Pelosi, depicting him as a hand puppet of the Speaker of the House. Dump the Puppet! reads the sign.
The signs have angered the Chris Carney for Congress campaign while the camp of Republican challenger Tom Marino distanced itself from them.

Unfortunately, Carney is my Congressman. I would be honored to have one of those signs on my front lawn.
Unfortunately, I’m in the same boat as you with Carney at the helm, yikes....
A friend of mine has one of the signs - I can ask him where to get them if you’d like :-)
LOL—I read the headline as Art Carney.
How about Artful Dodger Carney? ;-)

OMG....what pansies......lolololololol
Well I thought someone declared war on carnival workers.

heard he’s going ballistic and trying to find out who is behind this LOL
apparently citizens becoming appalled at a congressman’s votes and spending their own money to lobby against him is a completely foreign idea.... they only know of top-down, marxist-driven, left-wing billionaire funded activism.
Thought this was about Art Carney.
I would love to do one of those for Travis Childers here in Mississippi.
Great sign, but I don’t have a lot of confidence that Marino will pull this one off. (I’m from Kanjorski’s district, but follow this race as well)
So it’s ok for him to go ballistic, yet it didn’t matter how many if his constituents went ballistic over his votes supporting the Pelosi/Obama agenda.
I think Tom Marino has an excellent chance... this area has a high percentage of retirees and I am hearing a constant, massive sense of outrage about what Congress/Obama have done to healthcare.
Carney was also an utter slimeball last year with our area and held one very small, quickly planned Wayne County town hall in August with a lot of us locked out after it filled, then he didn’t come to Pike County until the very end of the year. Again, very little notice and then only took a couple of brief, hand-picked questions at the end and quickly left. Of course, he was in the area multiple times all year for fundraisers, just not accessible to constituents while the health care debate raged. A real snake.
I certainly hope you’re right. The baggage that Marino carries is his connection with Louis DeNaples. WILK, specifically Corbett, discuss this on their call in programs.
It’s definitely a conservative district, and would STILL be held by a Republican if only Sherwood would have kept his pants zipped and his fists unclenched.....
“Unfortunately, Carney is my Congressman. I would be honored to have one of those signs on my front lawn.”
Me too!!
