In a by gone era before A/C Congress took the entire summer off ... somehow this country survived their absence ... we should be so lucky.
How many Town Hall Meetings are they planning while they’re out? :)
A significant reform proposal: Congress shall not be in session for over 180 calendar days in any calendar year.
Those who serve in Congress shall be afforded weekly trips to their home district, shall reside in taxpayer-funded dormitories while Congress is in session and be transported by taxpayer-paid busses to-and-from daily sessions.
I could do without the second paragraph, so long as the first one was in force.
I wouldn't want to bet the farm on that one. They could get their hands dirty and have to spend time with REAL people!!
